If you have an orqheus rigs hunter on your team in onslaught, when they put a tether down just before the spawn point, dont be a chad and run past the tether tying to kill everything off spawn. If you let the enemys migrate into the tether they can chain tethers with as little as a few seconds between. This makes for easy onslaught runs to 50, is faster then spawn camping at the later waves and feeds the whole team tonnes of super allowing everyone to pop whenever they like. Shooting fish in a barrell, win win for the whole team.

My only tip and I constantly see this. People not using a siphon mod in head to create orbs. Then when u wipe u notice someone only makes 30 orbs in a horde mode. This is constant throughout the game too.
-
An aside tip for Orpheus hunters. Wait a little bit before popping tether. It's kinda frustrating to see 2 or 3 adds teathered. Then wait for a bit for more adds to spawn than wait some more for them to run to tether. It really slows down the pacing. Especially if you're running cc ability like solar titan. If it's a slower wave set. Just put one down on top of a spawn. It's too slow, waiting for them to funnel. It's much faster to spawn kill. Unless it's a rush wave set Then it works great. If i have to sit around and do nothing while waiting for adds to wander into a tether, then the tether was placed very poorly.

Ya. Works like charm in a Mob situation, as long as people let the mob reach the tether point before killing them. In the good old days before Bungle nerfed it, it sometimes looks like it had snowed, because of the number of orbs generated.
-
Nice thought, but they're only in until wave 20 & don't care. Sincerely yours, Orpheus main
-
Stasis users: Please don't block the ADU with crystals. Impossible to deposit scrap.
-
Another tip: if you play bubble titan please don't pop your bubble on the ADU.
-
I have had this happen too many times 😭 I put my tether down in a good spot except my team mates charge past to kill everything before it can trap anything....

Staying at the ADU will get you wiped after level 30, there is too many ads to kill when you wait for them to get to you. Spawn kill is the best strategy. You see a teammate shoot tether, rotate and cover a different spawn. If you have an invis hunter on your team and it’s not you, don’t grab the spark and try and solo it after level 34, wait for your teammates, it’s only a few seconds. I had a team wipe on level 49 on the spark, it’s how I learned. Double primaries are fine for the early rounds to get brave weapon progress, but swap off one after wave 30. Pick up all ammo around the boss arena after level 30. You may need heavy at the start of the next wave.

I recommend Orpheus with Salvation Grip. If you don't have your super, then fire 2-3 charged shots and you can literally make an ice wall that blocks off a path for 10 seconds. Also trappers ambush dive, will shatter all the stasis crystals just like shatter dive.

Edited by Kenny: 4/22/2024 11:21:43 AMSome basic - "water is wet" - tips: If you not running Orfeus or Phoenix, be sure that your super will be ready for waves that end in a number 3 or 9 (like 13, 29, 33) cos' these are the boss waves. Abuse the fact that there are no locked loadouts, consider having one bulid/loadout for adds & crowd control, and another one for the boss room, especially if you running something like a Stasislock. When you rally the flag before the boss room, have 2 special weapons equipped, you can always switch to your primary later once you run out of ammo. Solar weapons are king with the artifact mod this season. You can quickly get radiant no matter which subclass you are using, which gives you a free damage bonus ( I think it's +25% in PVE) and anti_barrier capabilities. Bonus tip : If you have a Cenolock in your team you can use Xeno as a primary.

If ever want to run chill and in a fireteam lmk. There is still 2 weeks of goodies to farm.

Edited by The Hermit IX: 4/21/2024 11:10:31 PMI stopped running my Well build on normal 50 wave runs. I would drop a Well and my teammates would run ahead of it instead of standing in it. Over and over it would happen. I’m running my Arc build now lol. But I really appreciate any Hunter running tether. I wind up matched with one and I put Well back on.

Or just be a better Orpheus hunter, and put the tether on the spawns. Not only can you get them as soon as the spawn and get more ads to spawn quicker for more tethers. But also, you don’t have to deal with them not moving right away, or deciding on where to go. Just be better with it, and you will see much more success
-
Pro tip. Play Warlock.
-
Most Tethers I see are placed far ahead in the path, when it should be way closer to the spawns or in the middle of them, it feels like people think it's a cone, like a wave frame, not a radius all around it

You are the MVP

I play a lot with squad search, it doesn't go too bad, on the other hand... when the tormentor is there and the guys spend their lives in the uda....if the boss sets foot 7 second inside it's back orbit... but I have the impression that few understand that xd, for the rest of the waves in general, it's pretty good -
The only time you would by hyper aggressive is if the build is a naturally aggressive build when used offensively. For example, Vesper if Radius. Most would think of it as a naturally defensive exotic, but because of its nature, and how it works, you could also use it offensively. This works really well because not only do you have constant healing, but you spread a ton of blinding, giving you the security and survivability one would need for such hyper aggression.

Edited by Obi-Juan: 4/21/2024 2:48:05 PMTip for onslaught Use a special waveframe grenade launcher and a bipod rocket launcher End of tip.

Thank you! I started using OR instead of Star Eaters (mostly) for Deadfall and it's annoying when someone chain kills before tether occurs. They really need to buff that about Deadfall.
-
Also if there is more than one in the group wait out the tethers. You only get return on tethers from yours if the targets are not tethered by another tether. Someone of the two would get short changed if they are close enough to compete for attaching to enemies.
-
I feel like this is why I won’t get the title. When I run hunter, people just ignore this and I do nothing. When I run warlock, I always get people running Solar and refusing to put on void or stasis. They either do nothing or leave. Onslaught just isn’t my cup of tea. Some of the waves are just so much more difficult than others to the point they’re unfair - and require very specific builds to withstand. Not to mention that some units do crazy damage to the adu for some reason. I’m just kinda over the 50 run version. I’m tired of being forced to 2-man or try to carry a team. From now on I’m just running 10 wave legend or the playlist… which is a shame in my opinion
-
Think bungie should adjust it some . Seems like its all tether or go home if you want 50 ,it works well but many don't bring the meta to just run a side activity so those left trying to reach 50 get benched more times than not.
-
Witherhoard kinda op
-
Thanks! 'll keep that in mind. Another Tip: When there are mines to be diffused and everybody rushes off to them, the ADU is not guarded and a horde of enemies will rush to it.
-
Wait, are you talking about teamwork? That’s an abstract subject for many players.
