I am one of the few hunters that prefers strafe jump over the high and triple jumps. I find the increased in-air control fits my play style best. I have, however, noticed a major issue with strafe jump.
There are some spans that are impossible for strafe jump to make. Two major examples are the jumping puzzle over the electrified water before reaching the ogre boss in the Grasp of Avarice dungeon and the jumps with the swinging pendulums in the new seasonal activity before reaching the sideways portal gates. No matter how many times I try, I am unable to reach the other side of either of these gaps. It seems odd, and hopefully unintentional, that strafe jump would be incapable of making jumps that literally any other jump type can make successfully.
I ask the bungie team to inspect the strafe jump to see if it is performing as expected (who knows, maybe I just suck at jumping puzzles). If there is an issue, hopefully a rework can make its way to the game soon. My suggestion would be to slightly increase the forward jump distance and keep everything else the same, but I trust bungie developers would discover the correct solution.
If anyone at bungie sees this, let me know what you think!
I love the game. Keep up the great work!

So let me get this straight. Just to summarize. You have several jump types available to you in game. On demand. At any moment of your choosing. A button click away. And you’re standing in front of a gosh darn gap, and you just keep hopping in and dying. Now, in theory you could switch to a different jump to cross nasty Mr. Gap, and then immediately switch back to the one you like. But instead, you’ve decided to ask Bungie to rework your favorite jump? Specifically for you. Because you’re feeling inconvenienced. Even though that change would also affect all other players? And subsequently they would have to take time to adjust to your requested changes across their play-styles & game modes? Also you say you have been playing for several years. But after that period of time, you are as of yet still not fully aware of the efficiency and usability of different jumps across different game modes. Did I summarize this correctly?
