I wish the raid community was like in Destiny 1. I can't stand these raid posts, " KWTD have mountaintop and recluse, have every exotic, run this subclass, do a finisher on everything, have every single weapon in the game, use them all at once, wear every armor set at the same time and have all stats 100 on each piece" I just want to do raids ! LoL

I found both D1 and D2's raids real fun to play. Still, I have to say I'm getting bummed out about the insanely far fetched mechanics that make no sense. Haven't tried Garden raid yet, because I can't be bothered really. Bottom line, it's cool to have mechanics in raids, just release a raid that doesn't have tedious mechanics every once in a while.
-
Remember when people stopped complaining and made their own PUGs requiring all players to be new as well and willing to learn? Apparently taking responsibility is frowned upon these days.
-
I think this is because fewer people are playing Destiny 2 compared to D1. Therefore fewer experienced player pool. Many people just want to get the raid done before the weekly rest. I, for one hasn't done any raid since D1. Mainly because I now have other priorities and unable to commit hours needed to play in a team. And to be honest Destiny 2 simply doesn't have that spark D1 did. I want to play Destiny 2 but may be in few months when I feel like the game has something worth playing. Later skaters...

It’s the 1st week dude no one is gonna teach right now everyone’s going for their codes and guns after teaching this raid to ppl alrdy I can tell you most ppl who are clearing probably still want a much better understanding 1st
-
Just start your own group like I did and guess what I beat it today took 24 hours but now I can ask for certain requirements

Edited by DeathPony07: 10/14/2019 6:34:48 PMYep, back before all the elitists took over and started acting special for pushing buttons on a controller. They made the game about them.
-
No. I just remember -blam!- about gally
-
I remember people getting kicked for not having gjallarhorn.
-
Remember when people like you didn't try to get carried all the time? There is NO REASON anybody has to explain ANYTHING to you If you don't want to find things out by yourself WATCH A GUIDE If you want to do something then FIND IT OUT YOURSELF (like most people did)
-
If you need help in raids, I run Raids 101 and I can guide people through with out those. Hit me up if you wanna learn, just won't do sos. Hate that one. Every other one I'll do. Still learning gos but when done will teach.
-
Yea, but I also remember when I wanted to learn the raid.
-
Ikr, it’s like they are subconsciously catering to the streamers and youtubers forcing you to watch their guide vids or else you don’t have chance. Then again, there are still people out there that help but only when the raid is about to go irrelevant say 2 months from now that’s when you see people helping out and explaining the newest raid
-
This is when you make your own post. I bet people will join with your relaxed requirements. Anytime I can't find what I'm looking for, I make my own. Usually goes better that way anyway.
-
Community not like D1 that’s the problem
-
I played D1 and I don't remember anybody teaching anything. You couldn't even get to do a hard mode VOG run unless you were level 30. And you could only get level 30 from doing the hard mode raid. That's the moment I realized raiding was not for me.
-
I also remember when we got two drops per encounter. What happened to that?
-
This is really annoying I think a lot of people have commented good points. The biggest is everyone is required to know what to do to complete the encounters. Before there were less valuable spots that you could slowly learn the encounter by watching others. Now all players have to be equally capable it’s bungie’s laziness of not wanting to create two modes. D1 had a much larger demographic of players raiding. I also find it crazy there’s not even posts of first runs for GoS it’s barely over a week old.
-
The big problem with the new raids are they are WAY to mechanic heavy. Some of the encounters are so mechanic heavy that they are not even fun. Most people don’t have time to explain everything. Like GOS boss and COS boss encounter are just ridiculous in the mechanics. Instead of adding so many stupid mechanics that are just annoying they should take more time to lengthen the raids, making them take longer to complete.
-
If you want to be taught, then join a raid group that doesn't require KWTD Not all groups are like that
-
Raids are so complicated now it’s not easy and it’s time consuming to try and teach, you have resources at your disposal to learn the raid. You also shouldn’t expect people to be willing to teach the raid week 2 as the dlc goes on people will be more willing to help
-
I taught myself most of each. I felt it was respectful to not be a heavyweight that didn't know anything so people didn't need to worry about me like crazy. It's an issue I understand and one I don't wish to push onto others. I'm there to get it done too, so I'm gonna be prepared. Biggest rule to me nowadays: Don't Die.
-
I see a lot of people forget about the "Must have Gjally" posts... 😂
-
We’ve always taught people raids.
-
Edited by Cal: 10/14/2019 5:22:40 PMMake friends. That is the best advice. Also blame Bungie and the hardcore elitist that have forced raids to me so choreographed that 1 mistake is a team wipe. They literally have forced Bungie to exclude you from the activity
-
It was definitely easier when every Raid encounter had a spot where you could just tell a new player “stand here, shoot stuff, don’t die”. lol Now you practically have to act out each Raid encounter, like a stage play for a newbie, and then they still won’t entirely “get it” until failing a couple times.
-
That is exactly why I have not done any other raids other than the original in D2. Any other Raid, the requirements from others has been way too much and people usually go with the Cheese option and not all people are aware of the cheese and what items are needed or even having those items as some could be exclusive to other harder activities, like getting the Mountain Top. Stupid for sure.
