Remember when people like you didn't try to get carried all the time? There is NO REASON anybody has to explain ANYTHING to you If you don't want to find things out by yourself WATCH A GUIDE If you want to do something then FIND IT OUT YOURSELF (like most people did)

Also capitalising like that makes you look unstable, as in only give him crayons.

  • That's the point the OP was trying to make. People in the community no longer want to do a good deed and help anymore, it's all about "KNOW WHAT TO DO OR KICK!" or "WATCH A 20 MINUTE GUIDE!" which at the end of the day really doesn't help that much. You sound like the type of guy who requires people to have mountaintop or they get banned from life.

  • God forbid people have limited time to play how selfish of them to not spend their time teaching. Grow up, refusing to take the time to learn a raid and then crying about other people not taking the time to help you paints you as incredibly selfish

  • God forbid that people just want to play a raid, not have people feel entitled just because they got a raid clear. If you got limited time on your hands, why are you doing a raid, let alone looking for people who are around your level in skill? This attitude you got right here, is the reason why so many people refuse to do raids now. Who's fault is it that you don't got the time to teach someone an encounter that you done 16 dang times? You want to run with people who are just as good with you in the raid + have Divinity + is 18 or older? Be my guest, but don't come to me and call me ignorant, because I am calling out you idiots who made raiding the mess that it is.

  • You have to realize most people dont want to spend their entire day helping strangers, and that doesnt make them a bad person just means they arent teachers.

  • Personally, most people I find want to be taught the raid but get angry or whine when I say "hey, you didn't do that right, you gotta do it like this" so yeah. I don't blame anybody who doesn't teach raids anymore, most people are ungrateful brats.

  • That is true, but that's not everyone. There are times where you just got to be patient with the people who you are teaching. I taught Leviathan to some people and they listened carefully and when I call out one of their mistakes, they comply and try again. We are in a generation where people don't want to feel like they messed up, even though pros even make mistakes in raids.

  • Or you could go in the raid with all the people here complaining about not finding a team AND FIND OUT THE MECHANICS YOURSELF There is no difference in somebody explaining it to you in person and watching a video guide... Video guides are even better because they visually show what you have to do You are right - I don't help lazy people There are enough people in the same boot - so group up How do you think the first 20.000 people completed the raid? They all got carried? They all watched guides? Not really

  • Oh no, I need to grow up because I am pointing out that you are being ignorant. While the videos show you visually what to do, it's not you doing the encounter. You coming in here telling OP to basically going "Git gud" just because our raid community have gone to dog turd because of stupid requirements. Not everybody got time to get Mountaintop (which you pretty much sound like another elitist, claiming people who don't want to sell their soul to get a weapon is lazy). I might want to also explain that Datto is not really the best at explaining and it is certainly a lot better for a person to just show you how it is done in real time. Who is really the lazy one, smarta**? Raids are meant to be fun and for EVERYONE to do, not for pros to shat on people who don't know what to do, because they are too lazy to teach how it is done. Like I said before, videos just teaches the concept, but most would like to learn in real time. And you making that argument about how people learn themselves? You are such a weirdo. Again, it would just be easier to just teach the person how to do the encounters. Be a sport and help out instead of being ignorant.

  • That nobody wants to help.

  • I barely see the help anywhere on the LFG, as all I see is "MUST HAVE X AMOUNT OF CLEARS" or "HAVE DIVINITY!" While you are right that there are "some" people that like to help, most don't, because they are either lazy and don't want too, or ignorant because they don't want to spend an extra minute to explain something in real time.

While you are right that there are "some" people that like to help, most don't, because they are either lazy and don't want too, or ignorant because they don't want to spend an extra minute to explain something in real time.
I dunno man, I usually see quite a few newbie groups on XB1 LFG. Most people asking for anything are asking KWTD at the moment as opposed to X number of clears, and just knowing what needs to happen in each encounter is a qualifier for that. Just today I myself helped a newbie group get up to the Consecrated Mind, at which point people left because they were American and it was 6am (LOL). I then joined a group on the last boss and we beat it - that was my first clear. They took me on not caring about my clears, or lack thereof. As for explaining adding an "extra minute" that is a gross, gross understatement of how much time someone running blind can add on to a Raid, and that increases exponentially with each blind runner. I've got over 130 sherpas on D2 alone, and I can tell you a proper blind sherpa adds on more than an "extra minute". If someone has seen a raid guide vid, that speeds things up hugely, and makes for a much smoother run. Again, I can testify from experience on this. Not everyone has hours at a time to spend on a Raid, I've been in those 15+ clears groups you tend to see after a couple of months, and those are smooth as hell, as well as quick. I have a 19:26 clear time on Scourge thanks to one of those groups. I will say this though: I've clocked a lot of players asking for clears they dont have themselves, or requirements they dont even meet, which means they're either dishonestly looking for a carry or they are a Recov in progress - either way, screw that lol.

  • Maybe what I said was an understatement, but I am trying to say that while the videos can be nice, it doesn't always help. I have friends who are also sherpas and they done blind runs themselves, hell one of them done a blind run for me and we got the raid done in a good amount of time (Back in D1, so it can probably be disputed.) Don't got time on your hands and you just want the raid done? Fine, you do you, but I just find it annoying is that a good majority of the community just want help with the raid and the 'pros' will require the emblem and Divinity, but like you said it's more of knowing what to do. That's the problem with the videos, they don't explain things as well as someone in real time explaining. I rewatched Datto's video multiple times on the raid and I had a better time learning from a sherpa than him.

The nice thing about Destiny 2 on PC? There are clans out there who actually give a shit and teach the raid real-time. Sure I could look up a guide like every other person does, but most guides miss important and specific details. Also, you really only learn the raid though experience in doing it. I agree with OP here. Bungie needs to look at their raid designs from D1 and start asking "Why did people like Vault of Glass and King's Fall?" Raids back then were simple, easy to learn, and most of all, fun. Raids in D2 are just frustrating because of Bungies over reliance on mechanics.
