I wish the raid community was like in Destiny 1. I can't stand these raid posts, " KWTD have mountaintop and recluse, have every exotic, run this subclass, do a finisher on everything, have every single weapon in the game, use them all at once, wear every armor set at the same time and have all stats 100 on each piece" I just want to do raids ! LoL

That is exactly why I have not done any other raids other than the original in D2. Any other Raid, the requirements from others has been way too much and people usually go with the Cheese option and not all people are aware of the cheese and what items are needed or even having those items as some could be exclusive to other harder activities, like getting the Mountain Top. Stupid for sure.

That's what clans are for. LFG isn't going to change, it's a toxic place, get yourself a clan to teach you so you atleast have a clear. And for the new raid, nobody is asking for mountaintop.
-
You must not remember, “KNOW WHAT TO DO” and, “MUST HAVE GJALLARHORN!”
-
I remember my first attempt at a raid clear was Kings Fall. I had a friend who was going to teach us. It was early morning Christmas Eve. We started at like 6:00am. I was playing when my wife left for work, and was still trying to beat Oryx when she got home. I accomplished nothing that I was supposed to have done. Pretty much the only time she has ever been pissed at me for playing! What a great time though...

It’s because raids nowadays are hyper mechanic heavy. Yeah VoG has mechanics and so did the other D1 raids, but they didn’t require you to have a masters in physics and engineering just to beat the first encounter. Raids come across now as being for streamers and YouTubers only and not really for the average working man/woman, casual player. Lately it seems as if Bungie has forgotten that Datto and friends are in the minority of their players and they should be catering to you and I so to speak.

I have a group of 5 and we're always looking for 1 more to try raids with. We're all new to Destiny and only 2 of us have limited experience. If you'd like to join us sometime just send me a message and friend request. G/T: SneakeyPetey

Did half of gos and taught a few people the first 2 encounters and a friend taught us all the 3rd
-
So create your own post with whatever criteria you want....sorted lol
-
There used to be a lot of helpful people in D1, the only raid I've done in D2 so far is calus lol. But in D1 there was also a lot of "Must have Gjally, or get kicked".

Get rid of revive tokens and make a normal version of every raid and I bet you people will play it and lfg will be more active as well. Keep the tokens for hard mode or “elite” mode this will also allow people to learn the mechanics on normal and eventually go to hard/elitist mode. -
Oh yes the community was much more learner friendly
must have gally
Edited by Elysium: 10/14/2019 3:40:25 PMAt least the raids are pretty fun, once you know them.
-
I always laugh at the competitive crucible ones. Looking to get to Mythic have 3.5 kd or higher. Checking stats will be kicked 😂😂😂
-
I did most of the raids in D1 form normal, to heroic "expect raise of irons raids" my first raid was vault of glass i made friends from there, and I also got my first exotic from that raid "hawkmoon" ever since than I've been raiding a lot with friends. D2 I only did vanilla raid there, and its harder version..once..I haven't done any raids since than. I don't know why I stopped just something was off since than. Also there always been group that request that you have weapons specific " hellmouth raid, must have gjallarhorn"
-
If you actually look at the LFG pages, there are tons of teaching/chill learning groups...they are just hidden in between all of the paid recovery comp and raid posts that nobody seems to care about.
-
I usually just let my clan mates just do the raid (yes I’m lazy) and I pick up the rewards. It’s not that I don’t want to do the raid but a lot of time needs to be sacrificed, getting people online on certain days and mostly trial and error. But I do agree I miss the ol LFG days.
-
Just do your homework people, it takes 10 min to watch a video christ.
-
Pepperidge Farm remembers. Being serious yes I do. So much has changed. Haven't done a raid in almost a year now.
-
Requirements are made by pompous a$$holes.
-
The other side of the coin is respecting the fact that people are actually out there teaching others. Yet the learners seem to consistently rage quit on the 5th or 6th attempt at an encounter because they just cant figure it out. Also, dont be upset when you're not carried through a brand new raid inside of a week. You have the same opportunity to watch youtube and see the raid mechanics as everyone else. Maybe try not using trash weapons and armor. It makes teaching 10 times harder when you havent done any research on your own.
-
Remember when people could just watch a guide? Not that hard, don’t go into a raid asking for a teaching when you could watch a guide on YT.
-
i remember when these very forums were filled with people helping other people to get activities done. like different tactics and strategies to complete the raid. now its just filled with crybabies and trolls.
-
Tbh the only reason I haven't done a single raid in d2 is because they're so mechanic heavy. I don't mind good mechanics but to me it feels like there's so much to do and memorize. Whereas in d1 I loved oryx and aksis, they had good mechanics that you had to follow but it was nothing overly complicated.

Feels Like Destiny 1 now.. : Must be Max Power Must have Gjallahorn or Icebreaker KWTD Destiny 2 now : KWTD or -> KWTD or Kick 960 Power+ Must have _____ Searching for Players that know what to do which is Impossible cause just a Small Amount of Ppl really Teaching New Raiders which does not help at all when the rest is full KWTD KWTD KWTD
-
KWTD is the new 'must have gjallarhorn.'
-
Remember when you didn’t need to watch research videos or have others spend hours teaching you something in a video game and you could just try it out by yourself instead? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
