So high impact frame Scout rifles are in a not so good spot in both PVE and PVP. They fire way too slow and in my opinion don't do enough damage in PvP to make them viable and that game mode. As far as PVE goes they just don't have any good traits on them( fixed roles were not a good idea). The fact that they were basically gifted to Hakke( the worst of all the weapon manufacturers) does not help either. Hakke weapons feel like there is an invisible 50 lb dumbbell attached to them somewhere. From what I have seen so far there are no high-impact frame Scout rifles in the Omolon family. In Destiny 1 those omolon High Impact Scout rifles were viable in both PVE and in PvP especially if you had the right perks on them. Bungie can you please develop some high impact frame Scout rifles for omolon with good traits please? Cocoon or whatever it's called in Destiny 2 on a Scout rifle is a very bland trait. Something like Explosive Rounds or whatever it's called in Destiny 2 would be much better on a weapon archetype like this. At least it would help you control a group of enemies that's coming towards you in PVE.

I use a high impact scout in PvP. Love it. Frontier Justice. Miss my old Colovance from D1 but Frontier Justice rocks.
-
I miss Jade rabbit
-
#bringbackgheleons Really there's only one gun I miss using from D1, Gheleons Demise, and I mean the off the shelf vendor one, perfect and flinched more than the MIDA.
-
I really miss the colovances duty
-
Colovance's Duty... *sigh* Missed that baby...
-
Why would anyone use anything other than Nameless Midnight in pve ?
-
They never really have been in a great spot except for some specific weapons (Chaos Dogma... Jade Rabbit..)
-
Try the Omolon Seven-Six-Five

The scholar adept
☹️
Dead orbit scout is high impact. And hakke is not the worst. Their SMG/scouts and pulse are realy good. You just have to be wise on how to use the scouts.
-
Does Not Compute, Traxis Lyss III, these are great scouts for crucible. Personally I use 180 rof scouts. Fastest 4 shot kill in scouts.
-
It's a shame they aren't very good. The NM one is so nice looking, but why would I ever use it over something like Nameless Midnight?
-
I mean frontier justice feels pretty good
-
Or make it a four tap instead of five like other scout archetypes.
-
They do hold the most ammo though, which is dumb
-
They should be one shotting cabal legionaries at a minimum given the unappealing ammo drop rate...and juggler. I blame the 2.5x multiplier, body shots feel like AR criticals otherwise.
-
I miss Jade rabbit.
-
Hakke is the best weapons and I love my high impact reminds me of jade rabbit
-
R.I.P. my old vendor god-roll Hung Jury SR-4. I hopped onto Destiny 1 last night and shot around with it, and man do I miss it in Destiny 2. It's just such a satisfying weapon.
-
I'd trade my real 8 year old son for my suros dis 43 with full auto and max stability I had in D1 brought into destiny 2
-
Yes, they are definitely not fun to use.
-
I find the does not compute high impact frame to be a great counter to MIDA, and depending on your targets resilience you need 2 headshots and 2 bodyshots, or 3 headshots and one bodyshot. The faster strafing trait really does make that difference at longer ranges, where you are a hard target to hit while dealing some heavy damage.
-
I actually really like the NM scout.
-
Frontier justice is my favorite looking legendary in D2 but the fact that it is so slow and takes the same amount of shots as any scout I think that if it is 280 or higher it should ohk all t1-t2 enemies with 1 headshot. With how slow it is it should be closer to the damage you would see in a HC.

Edited by DSharp018: 9/29/2017 3:46:52 PMI believe it all comes down to a weapon's burst dps. My own tests with weapons went something like this Sidearms Hand cannons Smg's Autos Pulses Scouts Using a nice meaty boss npc from one of the missions, the dps went in a scale about like this Sidearm: 545 HC:505 SMG: 480 Auto: 460 Pulse:400 Scout:380 Most of the different archetypes for the same weapon pulled about the same dps, though I will need to do a lot more testing. All in all, so far, I feel that a small boost to scouts and pulses wouldn't hurt.
edit: PS, explosive rounds still OP, would recommend keeping anything that has them.
Agreed..i thought bungie pays testers to test these guns..why are we the testers of this game..high impact scouts were awsome in d1 they are trash now.. smh
