  • You use your ex machina and sleeper or spindle and whatever heavy until they're out of ammo, then switch to your scout rifle to continue doing dps until the damage phase ends Chaos dogma for a primary actually has really high dps What do you do when you've used your sniper and sleeper shots?

    The dps cycle on vosik was short. I shoot my six sniper shots, my 9 sleepers and then my grenade. That's all there was time for. Aksis was sniper and dark drinker. Never in 3 years have I used a primary to dps a boss. Lol.

  • Yeah vosik was short But Golgoroth and Warpriest have longer dps cycles so you're more likely to run all out of ammo then need to keep doing damage Never said you should use it as your dps first but when you're out of ammo it or like hung jury are both high dps for primaries and a good backup choice But no hung jury if you're holding the aura

    I held 24 shots in my spindle and hit crits on every bullet. That's all there was ever time for. Not to mention chaos dogma was after kings fall so completely irrelevant. I'm not trying to be argumentative but I know every detail of destiny. You just don't use primaries on bosses. You make sure your armor has max ammo perks and you use special and heavy.

  • I logged on to destiny 1 and I didn't have the perks to hold all that ammo so that's why But still for a primary it's the highest damage

  • lol All 3 tap Scouts in D1 all had a ttk of .80 How exactly is that not in a great spot? Hand of Judgment, Cocytus and colovances duty all legendary scouts and could all 3 tap. It’s how you used them that mattered.

    Map design in d1 was more close quarters so scout rifles in general were less desirable to hand cannons and pulses which were effective at mid to close range where scout rifles outside like mida stood no chance. You could use them in like pantheon or in combined arms but like cauldron thieves den asylum etc those size maps, a hand cannon would work soooo much better in the engagement distance. I'm not saying they're bad at all I liked the scholar, but they were just outplayed except at very long range where hand cannons and pulses (the dominant meta) were not effective at the end of d1 with the range nerfs (rip y1 hawkmoon snipes) It puts you at a disadvantage because if you're caught in close quarters you didn't have any way to win a primary duel like someone with a hand cannon could

  • lol of course.... those are cqc maps. Who would want to use a scout on a map like Cauldron? Scouts are designed for long range engagements. And yes most D1 maps were designed around cqc but we had a few larger maps as well where scouts really shined. I for one wouldn’t want every map to be a scout map. That would get boring af...

  • Oh yeah pantheon was great for scouts, used to use my mida and radiant dance pants to challenge the snipers on that map I think the high impact ones will be in a better place if high cal rounds and explosive rounds are adjusted in pvp since right now nameless midnight, mida, manannan, fwc all can flinch so they're at a huge advantage, but if that's changed then other things will be used more since there wouldn't be just use high cal to win all gunfights But the handling speed on them is still a huge drawback and would def like to see that buffed
