Here in Australia, the Year 12 certificate is equal to a Cert II. Yes, it is better to have a nice looking Year 12 certificate than to not have one (you need a Year 12 certificate if you want to qualify for Officer training in the military), but, in the end, it really doesn't matter what sort of grades you got in school.
