it was actually the other way around.....while microsoft was known for their PC operating system, they were not known for their games division, and the Xbox was a big leap for them....Bungie was already an established developer, known for having made a number of successful games, such as; Myth, the Marathon series, and Oni. Had it not been for Halo, the Xbox would have fallen flat on it's face. Bungie MADE Xbox.
