Btw you can't possibly believe the Cabal, Vex and Hive to be good, right?
Cabal have destroyed entire planets because "Why not?"
The Hive are undead kept alive by their mysterious deity. There is nothing good about undead.
The Vex tried to mechanize everything and turn all life into machines.

Good and Evil is subjective
-
Darkness = Evil
-
That doesn't apply in many cases.
-
Like? Besides it's literal definition, darkness always means evil.
-
Although it may seem like the other species are evil to us, our species could just as likely seem evil to them. The only reason we assume that the Guardians and the citizens of the city are the righteous ones is the fact that we have the bias of playing from their perspective. On the other hand, our enemies never attack us; we attack them. Sure, there have been those times when we have missions where "nothing is more important now" because we're all about to die etc., but all of that knowledge has simply been fed to us by the Speaker or our Ghosts. The truly reliable unbiased sources of knowledge are the Grimoire cards and Bungie. The Grimoire cards hint many times, or sometimes say blatantly, that the Traveler and the Guardians are not in fact good. Bungie has never officially said anything about our intentions either other than the fact that we're working to help the Traveler and the people of the city. That could mean many different things.
-
The Fallen attacked us first. The hive are clearly evil. Everything in the Grimoire says they're evil. There no way you can think the Hive aren't evil. We never intended to fight the cabal. We had to break into their system so we could use our sparrows. Unfortunately we were caught. And I'm not even gonna bother explains the Vex.
-
I think the cabal are like the the city they are a defensive army I mean just look at them they are defensive in nature but we also get mixed signals about them.
-
Try to find some proof that clearly states that the Fallen attacked us first, the Hive are "evil" just because they worship darkness, and what the Vex's true intentions are. There really isn't any other than what the Speaker tells you. I'm not saying are enemies are definitely good, but they might not be exactly how they are described to us.
-
Grimoire cards is where I get most of my info, and since the Destiny story is finished, everything that happened in it is canon. If they worship darkness, I'm pretty sure that means they're dark. And i don't remember where I read/heard about the fallen attacking us first. Let me find it. But that said, the Fallen came to OUR planet.
-
You're still working on the assumption that dark is evil. Bungie could be switching it around to show that good and evil are a matter of perspective. The Fallen may also be on Earth because our enemies (possibly even the Traveler) had already banished us to the city. From what the lore tells us, it doesn't sound like only the Fallen caused the entire collapse. Maybe the Traveler even caused it. The lore does mention, however, that the Fallen and other enemies appeared on our former planets AFTER the collapse. They could simply be scavengers who found empty land.
-
When I say darkness I'm referring to the Hive. And Darkness is evil. What else could the darkness be? Destiny's lore and story was created in about a year, if not less. Activision forced Bungie to make cuts so that they could get the game out quicker. I forget his name but one of the guys leading the story creation quit because he couldn't include all his ideas and background that he had been working with. I'm such a rushed amount of time, I doubt Bungie was looking too deep into this.
-
The story is cut and frankly crappy, but that's why Bungie should use this plot twist storyline. For once the Darkness might not be evil.
-
You proved my point btw. You say there is nothing good about the undead - the only confirmed undead in this game are us!
-
You got me there. But were more revived.... Our bodies weren't rotting away. But the hive are confirmed undead. They're literally rotting.
-
Is it rot or just insectoid secretions?
-
Rot. It flat out tells you. There's nothing insect about them. And insects don't secrete.
-
Who tells you -dinkle? Your buying the lies again. And some insects do secrete it's how they create 'Hives'.
-
I think we should stop arguing on what our enemies look like and focus on the hard facts the game and Grimoire cards give us. If we look at those and don't speculate, we can come up with a reputable theory.

Edited by Bdog: 11/17/2014 7:19:04 PMCabal could have had very good reasons to blow up a planet or two? And where is your evidence about the rest of your claims other than dinklebots lies - you sheeple would make terrible scientists.
-
They could just be assholes

Edited by EwCringe: 11/17/2014 7:47:03 PMIf you're not getting you're information from the Grimoire (the game's lore and only reliable source other than Bungie and maybe Wikipedia), then where?
-
I am getting mine from the grimoire. But you got too read between the lines.
-
Not everything has a second meaning lol
-
A hell of a lot of things do.
-
No, you've got to read it as it is.
