Titan is gimped as hell
Never seen a tank as flimsy as this..
Either give us better mobility or let us be tanks.. Strikes and PvP are way too mobile for our immobile shield to be of much use..
Titan cannot tank at all. I wanna be able to draw enemies away from allies and mitigate(within reason) a large amount of damage. Maybe at a cost of damage or mobility.. the closest I can do that is the final boss in the Ishtar Sink strike, where I'll put a shield right in the middle and draw it's fire for a while, giving allies relief to fight adds..
By far most useless class. I want to be IN the fight. I don't want to be running around the sidelines taking potshots and avoiding one shots..

This isn't a tank/heals/dps kinda game
-
Yeah it is. The super's are meant for MMO style...

There are no healers, so it's not.

Edited by nosworc82: 10/24/2014 8:49:30 PMForce barrier my friend, force barrier. Everytime that is up punch some little add in the face and go to town, that's where our tankiness comes into play. I usually run the perk where force barrier is active I drop an orb of light for every enemy killed with melee. I'm basically an orb of light machine every 30 secs or so. Great fun.
-
Mine never falls with duration/strength enhance. I generate anywhere from 10-30 orbs a minute, depending on how many little ads my teammates don't kill.
-
Yes!! Its so good, I'm currently working on a strength build to have maximum uptime on force barrier.

Edited by Desmond of Vanguard: 1/19/2015 5:33:33 PMI have "No Backup Plans"-gloves myself (max STR), with them and all the enhancing abilities. The barrier lasts almost as long as the cooldown does. You just need to wait for few seconds.

What? Force Barrier is maybe useful for the arkon priest strike and that's it. Especially with the orb of light perk.. Surely you know it's much harder to melee kill vex/cabal than it is with the Fallen.. The force barrier is gone before it came.. We're better off with the Warlock barrier that doesn't require you to even kill the enemy for it to activate. Force barrier doesn't help against one shots either
-
Huh? I use it on every strike and I'm unstoppable when its up. I run relentless perk with it too which increases the strength and duration? My melee either one shots or two shots most adds dropping crap tons of orbs for my teammates. Not sure why you think the shield drops off so quick. What level are you?
-
Edited by MixTip: 10/24/2014 9:12:43 PMMmmm punching the cabal and vex literally are a much larger task than fallen. I get a good 8 orbs out of the shanks in the archon priest level. Whereas others I can't get more than 1 since enemies will just stand there and take it like a champ, really making it an ineffective perk overall. Force barrier is literally just a second shield layer, which enemies burn through as quick as the first if you're actually in the fight. I can't really go into the fray without holding back because you get focused to hell and immediately shot/melee'd down. That's if you even manage to get a cabal or vex down. This game makes you stay back and shoot which obviously makes sense given the genre, but disappointing. One shots can't be countered, especially with titans..How you seemingly don't run into these problems magically is beyond me.

The only guys I won't have a punching match with are captains and Minotaurs, everything else goes down in two punches. I'm on about doing strikes BTW, not doing nightfalls and the like. Also im level 29.
-
I exclusively do strikes and anything other than (mostly) Fallen do not go down in two strikes for me. I go in looking for punching matches too. Everything other than shanks, prions, dreg, vandal, Acolyte, and thralls do not go down in 2 hits or less for me.
-
That's still a lot of things you can punch haha With the relentless perk your shield is pretty durable too. I agree with you on the warlock shield btw, why they get one for just hitting something without having to kill it is silly considering we're supposed to be the "tank" class. Don't know why the striker gets the running shield either tbh.
-
Not really much lol but apparently we're talking about different games here The shield perk did next to nothing for me.. I even have maxed out armor for good measure. Still as flimsy as ever. Didn't have to level a hunter very far to realize the armor/recovery/agility stats don't really vary much at all. Still find myself running for cover, not at all depending on skill or abilities..

Hear, hear!! *Raises mug of ale*

Well said, Brother!

Edited by MixTip: 10/23/2014 4:01:52 PMI feel like we'll never see a buff because warlocks and hunters will cry ".. but shoulder charge!!:,(" in mass hysteria. Even if it's the wrong sub class. So they can keep their disgusting class at the top lol Just like the exploiters who constantly whine when they take out their game breaking exploits.. Have to stay hopeful though
