Let me set the scene for you;
You're just wondering around, capturing some points in control, when you decide that popping your Ward of Dawn is a good idea.
Good?
Great.
Now you have a viable way to defend the objective for a short period of time until it goes away.
..and by 'goes away' I mean that some cocky Hunter or a snotty Warlock has come along, used their respective Super Charge and now, 3 seconds after you popped it up to relax under with a spot of Titan Tea, you are sat naked, alone, and wondering where your dead teammates are.
Can any of my brothers relate?
Can anyone offer a suitable explination as to why our super is the weakest? When it is currently the only subclass that really promotes strategy.
Rise with me, fellow Titans!
Take back the Dawn!
Fight for a buff!
..or don't, I'm not your mother.
Edit: This thread was made with a fun little theme to it to try and avoid all the usually negativity on these forums, so thanks for everyone for keeping it civil.
Edit 2: I have the saint-14 helm, and usually do very well within my precious bubble. It just makes me a sad little Titan when the super gets taken down by another super.
Edit 3: Im not saying that it shouldn't be taken down when a super is used against it. What I am saying is that it shouldn't kill everything inside. The warlock and hunter supers currently just fly through it as if it wasn't there.
-
Use striker class, I hulk smash through bubbles all the time
-
That's why I try to stay away from a ward of dawn. It's just a beacon (or bacon) for trouble.
-
Buff the bubble!!!
-
Though it is understandable. I think the bubble is fine.
-
Holden gun doesn't go through it I don't think. Maybe with the keyhole talent it does. And it takes two GG shots to pop it, and everyone is still alive in it.
-
What they need to do is let us Titans be able to shoot from inside the bubble. Also, I don't know how accepting people are to this idea, but what if the Titan that activated the bubble received a damage reduction that helped survive, like for example, a Nova Bomb after the bubble gets destroyed. I know there's the Armor of Light perk, but I'm talking about after the bubble goes down.
-
The weakest? Hunters have to waste two shots on it and you have to place nova well to even kill the bubble inhabitants. Supers used to destroy a super, how does that say weak. At least making them use their super means they get less kills with it
-
Totally agree. Just make it so other supers destroy the bubble, but don't kill everyone inside. Then it would be just fine.

Edited by Noxiffy: 1/19/2015 8:36:59 PMTanks have 2 strategy offense and defense. When on the attack they should have a shock and awe factor when in defense we should be able to shoot from our position. Not being able to shoot from inside makes the whole subclass pointless at least as a striker people are leary about fists of havoc
-
Agree
-
1, 2, 3, 4, Go! Team Titans!!! :D
-
I use blessing of light so that my teammates can leave the bubble and aren't all bunched up. I use it to give myself a shield, then ditch the bubble, get a kill or two with my extra toughness, then quickly run back and repeat. If my teammates do the same, then it's harder for the enemies to get insane multikills and instead have to deal with a bunch of monkeys who are twice as tough. I love to watch the "Support +15" show up on my screen repeatedly, I'm a big team player.

I agree, I do feel in PvP Titans need a buff on their bubbles, damage retrospective of other class supers, when running Defender class it's super in respect to offensive supers doesn't quite cut it. Damage intake needs a bump keeping in mind 100% intellect rises a super bar extremely quickly :)

Edited by MixTip: 10/23/2014 2:38:35 PMTitan is gimped as hell Never seen a tank as flimsy as this.. Either give us better mobility or let us be tanks.. Strikes and PvP are way too mobile for our immobile shield to be of much use.. Titan cannot tank at all. I wanna be able to draw enemies away from allies and mitigate(within reason) a large amount of damage. Maybe at a cost of damage or mobility.. the closest I can do that is the final boss in the Ishtar Sink strike, where I'll put a shield right in the middle and draw it's fire for a while, giving allies relief to fight adds.. By far most useless class. I want to be IN the fight. I don't want to be running around the sidelines taking potshots and avoiding one shots..
-
I can't remember how many times me and friends have put down a bubble looked forward then we all screamed SHIIIIIIIIIIT ARCBLADEE
-
I dunno... They had to balance it out. If it absolutely can't be destroyed, that's way too OP.
-
Titans are so boring to use. Never understood their draw...
-
Yea it should be invulnerable for a set time. It's the most easily avoidable super.... You just walk away....
-
Hunter here. Just came to say lololololol
-
Yeah it's kind of bs that the shield can be destroyed. Invulnerability is kind of, like, the chief thing it has going for it.
-
I was playing as my warlock over the weekend and popped 3 bubbles in one game and we destroyed the enemy team with this. Are you the guy? XD
-
Sorry dude, but when I play crucible my titan is a striker and I keep an eye out for the titan that drops a bubble on a control point and pray for more that one guardian to be in that bubble. So far with aftershock my record is four guardian's with one FoH attack.
-
A good strat: Stand towards the back of the bubble. If fists for brains comes along, walk out of the bubble and the aoe won't affect you. Same with space magic.
-
I do think it should be a bit tougher. Perhaps it should take 3 golden gun shots, be destroyed by but absorb the impact of Fist of Havoc and Nova Bomb, or something along those lines. I get that there needs to be a way to counter it, but it's annoying when I'm ready for a shotgun slaughter fest inside and then someone comes along and literally bursts my bubble.
-
FoH goes thru the bubble and kill everything easy. It actually takes 1-2 GG shots to break the bubble. All super can take other super out, except the bubble I guess. You can't pop the bubble and take other super out. If they buff the bubble in a way that you pop the bubble as others' super is about to hit you, then you get to reflect other' super back. That'll be fun. Like those fighting game counters.

Titan striker is the opposite of defender
