Awoken are people who left during the battle that caused the collapse if you read your Gilmore cards which clearly you didn't it says some of the awoken couldn't stand by while others were dying so they left the reef to return and help fight back but they too we killed. The reason the queen treats you just the same as any other if your playing an awoken is because she doesn't view you as an awoken since you left.

Your trying to explain what we already know. The Awoken were human, they left during the "battle" and became Awoken because of it. Some came back to become "Earth-Awoken". That is not the statement. The statement is saying that your character cannot be Awoken, because the Awoken were still humans when your character died.
