The OP gives none of the quotes or examples to back up what he calls facts.

That's because we've all played Destiny. It is very heavily implied that our characters weren't around to know about what happening during or after the Collapse because it's all continually explained to us as though we didn't already know. We didn't know what Ghosts were. We didn't know about the Speaker. We didn't know about the Fallen. .. or the Hive. .. or the Vex. .. or the Cabal. We didn't know about the light, or even the Traveler. We didn't know about the Darkness either. How can someone who was alive during/after the Collapse not know ANY of those things?

Sorry thought of something else. Our Bodies Would Have Decomposed. Whatever the ghost and the traveler did to be able to bring us back to life they had to put us back together. Maybe they have the ability to reconstruct a brain but not reconstruct memories. Ooooo Ooooo or maybe they wiped our memories for a reason that will come up in future story. I can do this all day. The later theory I mentioned would go with theories I already have about the speaker.

The ghost can't reconstruct. It's in a grimoire from Mars, bungie kinda damned themselves in contradictions here but oh well I have fun.

Interesting, I need to get around to reading everything. I wonder when the novels will start.

What if it's because when we were brought back to life we have no memory at all. This is a theory just the same as the OP'S theory. Nothing flat out says our character died before the collapse.
