You made an assumption nothing ever says the guardians died before the collapse they only started being brought back to life after it. We also don't know when or how or how long the collapse took. the awoken could have been created pre collapse or early collapse. While the traveler was still active or what ever doing the stuff it could apparently do.

We know the orders the Ages happen in and it's clearly stated the Awoken came into being during the collapse.

Edited by killer6000: 10/19/2014 6:21:31 PMMaybe i didn't make this very clear. The order of golden age collapse and dark age (or what ever they call the present) only makes sense in one order. What I meant was the time span, how long each of these "ages" had gone on for. You should maybe be less critical and just think about what is meant a bit more.

You need to read my explanation on the subject and subsequent replies. An Age is defined as a period of time that is defined by some specific event. Usually lasting around several decades to several centuries. Some examples: Chinese Dynasties, Medieval Dark Ages, Italian Renaissance, Industrial Revolution, Space Age, Lord of the Rings makes references Age of the Elves in which Elves were considered the dominate race. The trilogy itself is a war that would dictate whether the next age was to be that of Orc or Man as the Elves left for the next life en masse. Dragon Age is based in a world where each Age is ended at a specific time. Usually centered around beginning and ending by the Blights at regular intervals.

Again try to be less critical. ALL I'm saying is we don't know when the awoken became or when the traveler broke or whatever. They both happened during the collapse. But how long did the collapse go on for. Even IF I had no comprehension of the order of the major events or what an age was it is beside the point so I don't understand what your getting at.
