The only mention of your death that I can remember is your Ghost saying you've been dead for a long time, which is a very broad term. By the start of the game the city has been standing for centuries: 'It took centuries to build.' - Ghost on first arrival at the Tower. Your character died sometime after the Traveller's last stand, which happened centuries ago. Most likely after construction on the City had started.
