There are not a few people (like it is pretended in this forum) but a vast number. Even the according number of threads regarding this is far to high to neglect it. And a fsn forum is truly not representive in the norm.
The story is the on major point almost everybody refers to at least somhow (and what´s wrong with it). I´m not trying to spread rumours but rather openly disussing the obvious. And eho does is not of much importance anymore it just confirmed what many think.
The comparison to Skyrim does not work even the GUARDS had more character by that running gag "I used to be an adventurer like you ..." Brilliant!
Here we have Vendors with less personality. And no one else except the speaker who talks nothing else than sophisticated philosophies. Did you even play Skyrim?
But that is not the point see Skyrim is a solo RPG which does not have to take care about the boundaries of MMO.
It is nonetheless no excuse for this poor storytelling no reason to cling to it and surely not a viable option to behave like that for a company.
I just took the phrase because it is the outmost quoted from outside the game. The stranger had something interesting in the concept itself therefore it´s maybe a little unfair. But the quote shows the bigger picture. It´s the bottom line for Destiny and Bungie/Activision.
