Dude, it doesn't have to be detailed. We are raised from the dead by our Ghost at the beginning of the game, and then raised from the dead throughout it. The Traveler's Light, which both Ghosts and Guardians use, is referred to as an almost supernatural force. That's all the detail and explanation we need.
And again, no major company is going to issue an official statement because some random dude posted BS on Reddit. If the guy had actually offered proof, that'd be one thing. Instead, he just claimed to be an 'Ex-Employee'.

It doesn´t make much sense like many maany other parts of it (sorry i don´t take the magic/supernatural thinggie too serious i don´t have enough background to put it in the picture). But the criticism was long before the leak. Oh and yeah i forgot about our lovely trading card system. Again we have outtakes and vague hints leaving only more room for speculation rather than bringing up some proper narration. And guess what? I have to kill another 5000 random aliens for no reason to obtain that card. Sure. Last but not least the game has everything in it that was stated. No NPC there is even worth giving that status because about everyone feels like a lifeless puppet. "Oh that is an interesting engram you have there *cracklcrackle* ... would you like to buy blue bananas or do you prefer pink potatoe?" Of course Master Yahoo ... It just stated what many people assumed in a compressed form. So we are not talking about a single person or even that article in specific but that it expressed what many of us feel. I don´t even have time to explain why i don´t have the time to explain?! Yikes

Thousands? Maybe a couple hundred people on the Internet take the Reddit post seriously, and no reputable gaming site gives it any weight. And the NPC's have just as much life as any other other comparable game. Skyrim's random vendors and NPCS had virtually no personality of note. And she didn't have time to explain why she had been watching us. She had little time, and actually explained the important things like the Vex, the Black Garden, it's Heart, and how to heal the Traveler.

There are not a few people (like it is pretended in this forum) but a vast number. Even the according number of threads regarding this is far to high to neglect it. And a fsn forum is truly not representive in the norm. The story is the on major point almost everybody refers to at least somhow (and what´s wrong with it). I´m not trying to spread rumours but rather openly disussing the obvious. And eho does is not of much importance anymore it just confirmed what many think. The comparison to Skyrim does not work even the GUARDS had more character by that running gag "I used to be an adventurer like you ..." Brilliant! Here we have Vendors with less personality. And no one else except the speaker who talks nothing else than sophisticated philosophies. Did you even play Skyrim? But that is not the point see Skyrim is a solo RPG which does not have to take care about the boundaries of MMO. It is nonetheless no excuse for this poor storytelling no reason to cling to it and surely not a viable option to behave like that for a company. I just took the phrase because it is the outmost quoted from outside the game. The stranger had something interesting in the concept itself therefore it´s maybe a little unfair. But the quote shows the bigger picture. It´s the bottom line for Destiny and Bungie/Activision.

Again. A couple hundred people on the Internet who believe a Reddit post doesn't amount to much. You're basically saying that Bungie should address these people just because they believe it with no proof. If they actually had some substance, I might agree. But a -post- from a guy claiming to be an ex-employee doesn't need more of a reply than what they gave, which is that he's full of crap.. As for the story that is actually in-game, if the people who complain about it actually had a leg to stand on, I might take them seriously. Instead, almost everyone who says they didn't like it just didn't bother paying attention. I can link dozens of threads where people make the same ridiculous claims again and again, only to be showed up once someone who knows what they are talking about comes around. And plenty of Destiny's vendors have more personality than the Guards in Skyrim. As a Titan, I walked past Ikora and she said 'DId you finally get tired of punching things, Titan?'. Cayde, Banshee, hell, even the sweeping robots have more personality than the Guards.

Please read what i post at least. The few hundred in THIS forum are not even a minority here. It´s fine that you recognized some of those threads and could even link them. It´s just a single step from there to realize that it is a representive number in this case - anyway i´m sure you guys thinking alike will have to realize that soon because you´re going to be forced to it. It´s not us but when your nice companies pull the plug you won´t have much to deny. None of the "few hundred" just says (neither do i) oh Architect 404 is the truth and we worship him now as our new god or something. It´s just true that the article spoke aloud what others think (do i really have to become as repetitive as Destiny - well perhaps you´ll get it then). Our leg to stand on is that the hype was build around "a rich story based content". Never heard so much lies in such a short statement. And your story that is there would be done in under 12 minutes of time if cut together in a row. An unsorted short mix up of several vague ideas or actually useless information leading to a even more vague and rather unfinished open end. WOW i´m deeply impressed. What makes it hard is that some clowns tend to compare this crap to other great movies / stories / or even games. Anyway you´re the Fanboy and i won´t be buying anything from Bungie again and will test out every new Activision product i´m interested in very careful before purchase. And you won´t change that. If it makes you happy let´s see about a sequel of Destiny or if how the sales will develop. Please don´t become too ridiculous about Skyrim - you´re actually talking about a game that has rich story based content and was GOTY therefore. This one? ROFL Personally i think they should go down for this. Like with all FBs you can´t take criticism on your beloved. And that is completely ok. But don´t try to pretend what others say was nonsense just because you fell in love with it. Actually it´s you standing on very thin ice. ^^
