This. This can't be ignored by Bungie, the entire hope of this game lies in this post. I can't help but think that nobody at bungie ever delved into an MMO extensively before developing this game. Every MMO has a huge rich story. Every MMO has overpowered weapons and armour (which are notably hard to obtain.) Nobody complains about them being overpowered, because the entire player base knows they damn well worked their asses off to earn it. This bullshit RNG system is so helplessly flawed, you could have at the very least introduced some kind of rolling system where everyone has a fair chance at the exotics available similar to WoW's system. Now, as stated in the original post, many of us have come to terms with the mind numbing bullet sponges that a Rambo/Bruce Lee/Chuck Norris hybrid would have trouble taking down, but when you give us no reward at the end, well, haha. That's what gets us. WHAT GAME WITH ANY KIND OF LOOT SYSTEM AT ALL HAS BOSSES THAT DO NOT DROP LOOT? Answer me this. You want us to grind? We -blam!-ing grind. I am sick of grinding for no reason. I am a maxed player on Runescape. I have 5 level 90s on World of Warcraft. I was completely confident in my ability to tackle any grind that a developer in this world could create. I am no stranger to investing time into games, but only ones that will reward me for it. I have not yet completed the raid, and now I wouldn't even bother looking up a guide. Also, I don't know if you've realized? But a lot of the gear, armour wise, is ugly as shit. The Hayabusa armour kills anything you've designed in this game. Now I won't completely bash it all, there are those few warlock helms here and there, and some titan chestplates, but they are likely filled with useless perks/stats. How about future content that lets us switch a couple minor perks off of our guns for other ones, you want the guns we like to use to fit our playstyle, so help us out a little. What if I feel like trying for some old fashion richochet no scopes? Let me trade some accuracy for that bouncy bullet perk on this other gun I have. I'm not saying let us switch the overpowered perks, just the minor ones. How about some kind of transmogrification system also? Please Bungie, you can do better. You HAVE done better. Bungie, all I originally wanted was the God of War shader. I was happy playing through the flaws, even though I die more in this game than in either Dark Souls game. But somewhere along the way you managed to tickle my interest enough for me to keep playing, but I feel as though you're taking me down a dark spot in my gaming history that I'm not sure I want to bring to fruition. P.S: Bungie, you have to acknowledge that not everyone in the world has enough money to support activision's ruthless money schemes AND buy next gen consoles. For those of us that have, lots of our friends haven't. In fact, I am the only person out of my entire circle of real life friends that has a next gen console (PS4) and plays the shit out of destiny. It isn't fair that you restricted us from participating in the raids and being an effective team player in the Crucible by limiting our chat to a ripped off dance from another game, a useless point gesture, and to sit down and afk. Hmm. Bungie I really love your work, all of it. Halo 1 straight through to reach, and I honestly believe halo is the pinnacle of first person shooters. There is no other game I've enjoyed online multiplayer in as much as Halo 3. As disappointed as I am to say it, Destiny just wasn't what you described it to be, and you have to understand and admit that. You said you were going to give us a giant, vast universe to explore, but anywhere I want to go restricts me like the arena of the second Hunger Games book. We're out here fighting for our districts in a pointless dome of death. Too many invisible walls, just LET US EXPLORE THE WORLD YOU CREATED. Too little interaction, we are guardians of the last city on earth. We need to COOPERATE. And last, but certainly not least, we need more npc interaction. More questgivers, instead of those flashing beacons, put an actual npc there with a little bit of dialogue explaining what their crisis is, or what if they need an escort (yes, your bland gameplay has even escort missions looking luxurious.) We're dying for some depth here, come on. Even if it just means going and picking up a couple spiritblooms for a wanderer's ailment. Or killing 40 cabal while they attack a little helpless settlement that is trying to thrive on what is left of mars after the.. Wait a second, I don't know what happened. Xoxo, Loyal Bungie enthusiast who would greatly appreciate future dlc for new ghost scripts by Samuel L. Jackson. "Don't just stand there! Kill those mutha-blam!-as while I get this gate open!"

  • I totally agree "you could have at the very least introduced some kind of rolling system where everyone has a fair chance at the exotics available similar to WoW's system. "

  • and you have never played an mmo or very few of them. other wise some of your comments would not have been made. As a mmo player primarily i can say that every mmo that has a had a weapon the was considered as over powered has had those weapons nerfed as well. especially if it was considered over powered in the pvp aspect of the game. This game like any other mmo, the devs are going to be in a constant struggle to balance weapons for both pvp and pve. even in mmos old as WOW and the new ones like Archeage every patch contains Weapon balances along with class balances. and since destiny has a lot of the aspects of a mmo. These changes are to be expected and are going to be ongoing. Any seasoned mmo player knows what i am talking about. and would see the changes and move on. a s by the time the new dlc or raid shows up your precious uber vex toy will be considered junk and not worth much as a shiny new uber weapon will take its place as per norm with these games.
