Here's the problem with your thinking when it comes to MMOs...
MMO by nature is a time sink, it's just its nature. If you change it then it's not a MMO and remember you bought an MMO. Meaning why does the MMO now have to change its nature to fit you?
Second: when you just let people show up, they lack any understanding about pve or pvp. They are lost and confused. This was what I hated about WoW. They let people show up and compete with end game raiders and pvpers and it hurt people in the middle like me because they had no idea what to do. Take control for instance, there are still people playing it like they are playing rumble with no regard to the outcome. Now add there is no comms to tell them get to A or B or C
There was a nerf needed but not to weapons. Nerf needed is simple. Make a PvP bracket for 25+ that elite players will play in and the casuals can Pvp in their bracket and then no one will complain(I know they will it's human nature).
Bungie stop being PUNKS and make your game, we will either play it or won't! But crumbling to people who only play your game for 1 hour a day is going to lose you the layers who are going to actually carry this game 10years.

Destiny is not really mmo..everyone shoukd have known that from beta..and bungie always caters to majority.

I only know what I know. Never played beta and never knew who bungie was... Never touched Xbox or halo...

Love what you had to say, great idea for splitting up the PvP

Here's the problem with YOUR thinking. This game isn't an mmo. It's a shooter, with rpg elements and a competetive multiplayer. It has far more In common with a game like cod than wow. It was also marketed towards the cod demographic, so I think it's safe to assume I will receive an experience in line with a typical shooter. Rule number 1 of a competetive shooter is balance, plain and simple. Mythoclasts and pocket infinitys don't fit with that rule, bungie realized this and nerfed accordingly.
-
Balance is only applicable to competitive pvp. The problem is that the balance in mm is affecting pve. Further more, the problem with all fusion rifles is not the pocket infinity's ability to unload a ridiculous amount of ammo at other players, it is the range of all fusion rifles that can be ohk. I still have 3 rounds in my pi, but it will only take one.

Actually I find the term competitive to be bandied about far too loosely on Bnet. Destiny is nothing like competitive games. They might have people fooled with their posts about "competitive iron banner playlist", but frankly Iron Banner is not competitive at all. There are no pro teams or sponsored players like any true competitive games. Any who think they are competitive or pros at destiny are merely pro casuals competing against other casuals who usually don't care about the true competitive nature of games.

Hate to correct you here but it was marketed as an MMOFPS with a 10 year lifespan, No CoD, Battlefield, or other shooter has ever tried to pass itself off as having a ten year lifespan. Also name one CoD or other shooter where you have to walk around farming rocks, plants, and helium as a requirement to level up gear and weapons. Also what CoD or other shooter allows you to level up the same gear even if you are playing PvE or PvP. I play those game as well and they are fun but different from this, bungie claimed this would be an all new experience on console where players will "create their own storys" Again just because you want this to be the next game in the laundry list of shooters that people jump to does not mean that it is or was promised to be.

How is pocket infinity not balanced? Now it's just useless. The charge up time really hampered it in the first place. Now...

Btw it's way more MMO then it is rpg...

I was told it was an MMO shooter. I guess bungie did fail at marketing so...
