I'm in a similar situation: lots and lots of mandatory overtime. Haven't had a day off since Labor Day and likely won't have one for another three months. Nice amount of cash, but no life to use it. :(

That was my summer except or stopped at Labor Day. Just in time for destiny.

I -blam!-ing hate that about factory and/or warehouse work. I worked 60 hours or more a week for about 6 months while I was employed at a warehouse for Staples. I actually liked the job and the paychecks are great for overall comfort, but I only had time to sleep, eat, and work.

Yep. My warehouse decided to put in a new computer system since our customers were using it. We had it for less than two weeks because it cost us millions and set us back so far. Our output dropped about 90-95% while we were using it. I work second shift, so every Friday I get off at midnight without any OT, but have to be back at 6 am to work 8-10 hours that Saturday and Sunday is always 10-12 hours. Barely any time for anything.

SSDD man. I have experienced two major computer system upgrades while employed at a warehouse. It is a real nightmare to go through. I feel your pain.
