Lol, I feel you buddy. Dad was playing hard mode and lost track of time "hey kids, who wants breakfast for dinner?".

*Sitting reminiscing on Vanilla days*

At least it's Winter Soldier and not Power Rangers. Unless it's the ninth time they've watched Captain America in two days! That'll happen.

Edited by Strix: 10/10/2014 7:39:10 AMI share your pain. I love my kids and they love to watch me play, but the constant interruptions keep me from investing time in any of the bigger events or PVP.

Thumbs up! I know exactly how u feel. I tried telling my family i had to keep fighting the evil darkness or itd come and grab them in their sleep and steal their toys, it didnt work...

Lol definitely not alone. I founded Clanned Parenthood under this premise. Unfortunately... Wait for it... I've been too busy to recruit. Loot cave 2.0 is still up and running. But it's really goofy. Tried it once to see what the fuss was about. Honestly not worth it. I get more stuff just running strikes... Cheers. Good luck. I was running VoG with a new group today right before dinner. Dinner hit the table right when we hit the Gorgons... It happens.

Seriously, all of the players that abused dismantling queens wrath gear for mats the first day are straight up weeks ahead of us, Bungie penalizes the players who don't abuse cheap mechanics while edifying the ones who default to shortcuts, they are selectively playing whack-a-mole after all that talk in PR of how destiny is a living breathing world that the community would dictate the course of, they themselves said they wanted unexpected things from players. Now here they are, a month after launch, sterilizing and homogenizing what should be open ended feedback loops. We want to love this game, Bungie, let us love it.

You mean I'm not alone..... There are other dads, that have a Mrs, kids, job, still lives to play? Juggling with spending ' quality' time with the Mrs watching master chef between sorting a bottle and squeezing in a few hours of raiding....
-
Same boat but got one word for you MANCAVE fixed all my issues.
-
I'm in the same boat I play but try and balance it so the wife get tv also. Problem I have is I asked, by message, about 20 people if they could help me with the weekly raid. I didn't get one response. I didn't dance, wave or harass them. Just a polite message asking if they could please help me do the weekly strike. Not one response. What chance do I have of doing the vault...... None.

Have you joined the Dads of Destiny group? Great place to find other people with the same problems, err, I mean, blessings.
-
Lol, I don't have it as bad as you. I work night shift so the wife and kids are gone when I get home. Gaming heaven I tell you.

I am a soon to be father. I already know how little I will get to play in the near future. As it is I work out of town. So I only get to play on my weekends. Which is Tuesday Wednesday. Therefor I don't even get to spend my strange coins. Unless I make a special trip 2 hours back home to play then wake up extra early to drive two hours to work in the morning. Recently I did do this yesterday. Mostly I did it so I could troubleshoot as to why I couldn't use the "remote play" on my PSVita I purchased so I could play when I am out of town. Still having issues with it and I'm pretty bummed it isn't working as well as I had hoped. So I will continue to play as much as I can on my weekends which I don't have many of those left. Once the baby is born I won't get any sleep or free time for a long while I'm sure. Happy to be a dad, sad that soon all my late night gaming comes to an abrupt end.

Family more important than game -truth
-
Ouch.....had the same issue with my roommates wanting to watch TV
-
This is what I'm saying people like me play to much so we are flying through the ranks to fast. People actually want higher prices for the xur stuff to they don't get that most people aren't like us.

I'm a dad too and I agree about this bs grindfest. It was fun for maybe a week now it seems like any other chore.
-
you are a nice dude. I wanna be like you :P

Sorry to break it to ya buddy. ATM, you can't reach level 30 with out raid gear. To raid you are going to need several hours to work on each part of the event. If you have a hard time grinding out one coin, then raiding is near impossiable. Send the wife and kids out for a weekeend, that should fix it...
