yeah, no thanks how and why you butchered this so bad. its insanely week and is just unfun to play with when trying to use it for damage or killing things the only fun aspect is the fact that you can use it for movement tech.
please just please buff it was the main weapon I was looking forward to and it's just awful for at least 99% (outside of movement tech) imo
HUGE EDIT: doesn't matter they ARE UNSETTING LEGACY GEAR
also why didn't they give it beacon round huge missed opportunity

Auto + recomb is amazing in PvE

Is MountainTop currently weak , it has the ability with recombination to hit harder then a precision frame rocket launcher. I repeat it hits harder than a weapon with purple ammo. If bungie removed the blast radius nerf it would break crucible again that is the only thing that has been nerf. MountainTop is really a pocket rocket launcher they should have made it a exotic Mico missile and reverted the blast radius nerf and built in recombination into it. It should also have the ability to snag a precision multiplier if that spike grenade micro missile projectil hit the crit spot before blowing up like explosive payload

I’m not impressed by it either. It doesn’t have its beefy abuse power any more. I remember abusing hive knights, fallen captains, vex Minotaurs and guardians with this beast. Now it’s just a fun toy to do super jumps with. And don’t get me started with recluse. How’s funnel web better than it? If your gonna reprise the best guns that needed to be sunset they should’ve come back being just as good as there glory days.

With recombination it’s a major/champ slayer. I love my auto loading/recom roll for this reason.

That launcher with Vorpal or Recombination is really awesome PvE side. I don't really use nade launchers in PvP, but I might try with Mountaintop, if I feel like engaging that dumpster fire. Pretty uncommon these days.

Being weaker compared to the originals seems to be a common theme among these Brave weapon releases of Pinnacle weapons. Here’s my feedback on the Onslaught guns. Recluse definitely needs Master of Arms buffed. Mountaintop definitely needs to do more damage as it no longer can 1HK in PVP and even with Recombination is still lacking in PVE. I’ve not used Falling Guilitine sword or the Successor sniper rifle much so not comment. The Hand Cannon seems to be decent. The heavy Grenade Launcher I haven’t bothered using yet. Hammerhead is good. Still smooth to spray down enemies. Like most I have lots of good heavy void machine guns already so chances are it will collect dust in the vault. The wave frame GL I haven’t unlocked but have 2 of these from the raid that have the soul drinker perk sitting in my vault. The Elsie’s pulse rifle also is okay but yet again haven’t really used it a whole bunch. Overall I think the Onslaught activity has been good. The drops received from playing have been decent. Probably Bungie’s all time best free event

I never experienced the original Op one years ago so my perspective is a bit different but I really like the current mountaintop. It seems pretty effective to me (pve). The original one must have been a beast.
-
It's still really good as a special weapon, it's worse than it was only because splash damage is weak. But at least it now has perks like auto loading and impulse amplifier
-
Talk about being wrong chief. Hit a beefy target with max recombination stacks and then meditate about how wrong you were.
-
Ok. Before I check you, what exactly is your roll on it?
-
Its the same power as old mountaintop plus the 25% buff.

Mountain top is the one gun from brave that I like. The movement alone makes it good.
