Does anyone else feel that movement exotics are a-must-have in PvP ?
I can play without equiping them but i feel i'm in clear disaventage against someone with them
I'm i the only one ?

Movement isn’t as important in the new handhold/teamshot meta not to mention every gun in the game has so much aa you are going to hit your shots regardless of the enemy’s movement.

I can feel the difference between my Dune build and my peregrines. It’s not a need but it changes my play style a little

I think movement exotics make pvp more fun, Idk if they are strictly better than exotics that buff specific abilities or whatnot. Also they add more skill ceiling. -
In trials where getting map control and power positions( first to lane etc they’re monumental. In 6s a lot less important

Yes. Tried using something else besides dune marchers. Felt so slow. Haven’t taken them off for a long time now 😂
-
The only disadvantage is if you can't hit your shots on them just use a gimmick like bakris, wings of sacred dawn, osmiomancy, ashen wake, ect
-
I mean that’s pretty obvious ngl

Preference, movement exotics really aren’t that strong unless you’re good with the movement in the game stuff like omnioculus w LoW, one eyed mask, sixth coyote with strand have all been way better options in their respective metas. The only times a movement exotic has been OP was when dunemarchers chained 3x 20ft away through walls.

Most movement exotics don’t provide an external buff to gameplay outside of movement. Sure, movement is great, but what can you do against a Feedback fence Strand Titan who has grappled to you? Not much, unlike other exotics. Movement = Harder time winning, better time going from duel to duel Regular = Easier time winning, harder time going from duel to duel. That’s the basic principle of movement exotics.

I’ve heard this before but I feel it has to do with what you’re used to. If you always run movement exotics, you’ll have a hard time switching. But you get used to it either way.

Edited by Zodleon: 4/19/2024 11:01:41 AMMust have? No. Some of the best neutral bang for your buck? Absolutely. If you're not using another exotic for a gimmick, mobility exotics are pretty much the default.
