Please Bungie, if you have a story character say "your kills empower me, even crucible" like Eris this week. At least make it do that exactly!
Because of the voice lines of the dialogue, I went into PvP for around 1h before I realized I am not making progress towards the quest content.
Why have Eris mention that our kills empower her when it DOESN'T DO ANY OF THAT in gameplay???
Better have her not mention the crucible explicitly at all then! Just unnecessary confusion for the average player.

3 RepliesAs someone said, it was probably a lore thing. If they actually had an objective that said, “get 10 kills in crucible”, you can bet every Tom, Daniel and Jeremy in this forum would post saying “ wHy iS tHiS cOmPaNy mAkInG mE dO pVp????”

I mean, technically you do have something along those lines as the seasonal challenge, get 25 kills in crucible but that’s nothing to do story whys

What would one do if not progressing???🤔🤔🤔 Play for an hour straight because of dialog, instead of actually reading the quest step. 100% skill issue.

lol does the average player not know that reading things as they are written is an excellent way to understand how to successfully complete them or is that too complex of a game mechanic lol

It would be a very safe assumption to read exactly what the mission/quests needs before doing the task. You basically said, "I not going to read the quests and do what I [i]think[/i] is correct."

This was clearly a lore thing. The fact that she is getting tithes from our time in the crucible despite it not having anything to do with the rituals in the oubliette is a big yikes to me. I look forward to a Byf vid on it soon.
