I thnk I understand now.
Though I do have faith that when it is unlocked, it will be rewarding for everyone.
I certanly did feel a disconnect though. Having unlocked all 3 forges on all 3 charecters on my own and building up Ada-1's trust was neat for me. Now Bungie decides that the 4th is unlocked only when a select few have craked the code.. Yeah--no. I would understand if it was a raid but this activity is a Forge.

Time will tell, I kind of hope it's something different other than just throwing a ball at a floating pillar. 3 different areas were enough for me lol.

Indeed. Though the 3rd is my favourite because having 1 on each platform round 1 to throw balls to center was cool. Round 2: 1 person would abandon a site to help the middle guy because of the increase in Ads. Boss: Just diees. Thank you.
