The ball was just simply dropped on this release, period. Volundr had a light level issue from day one. Izanami was ridiculous as far as the steps just to open it. And now this.
Anyone saying "just play the game", or "help out with unlocking this forge" clearly doesn't get it. We all paid 35.00 for this annual pass to PLAY it. Not "unlock" it as well. Say what you want, this is my opinion only.

Izanami was the least of my issues....although the entire quest was just regurgitating old content. This is just a joke.

I don't mind unlocking things if it's reasonable and fun not tedious and boring.
