You're a casual player. Most of us want to play the content we paid for, not sit around and wait for the 1% to open the content for us.
We waited. Bungie said nothing about this at all. Bungie said nothing about another 'worlds first' race (that's all this is). Bungie either put no thought into how the community might react to having nothing to do after promising content which is bad or they did but don't care, which is far worse.

You could do it yourself if you wanted... oh wait you’re probably not smart enough thanks for admitting it.
-
Oh and the majority agree that the labs are terrible design made to bring streamers more of an audience as they figure it all out and thus advertise destiny for Bungie, but you said I'm dumb and that I'm wrong, so we must all be wrong because a casual player says so. Being a casual player means you don't know what it's like to be a hardcore player and thus cannot tell any of us that we could just solve it and that it's fine. You don't know shit, again that's evident by the way you voice your opinion as well as the fact that by admission you are a casual player. Good day.
-
I’m a casual player now, but that doesn’t mean I don’t know what it is to be hardcore. In D1 I had almost 100 raid completions, 50+ flawless cards, and thousands of hours played. I just don’t feel like putting that kind of time into the mediocre game that D2 is. Personally I think the labs were a cool idea that just had too high of a difficulty. But hey I guess the cool thing to do in this community is act entitled and blame the streamers and Bungie for every little thing like the world is ending.
-
Ok, I admitted that I'm not smart enough by you saying that I'm probably not smart enough. There's a difference between not being smart enough and not knowing anything about the puzzle because the creators made it that way. You are an asshole, your admission is in your response.
-
I don’t mind the idea of it. It’s something new they were trying and I applaud them for taking a chance (something many devs are afraid to do anymore). And stop saying this was made for streamers, any average Joe can go in and solve the puzzle. Perhaps the issue then lies in the difficulty of said puzzle. If it still has not been solved yet then I agree it is too difficult and should have been easier.
-
Yes, any average Joe could complete the puzzle if anyone knew anything about it. There's no clues or hints. Nothing has prepared us for anything like this. Bungie shouldn't have hyped up the labs as 99% of us have been stuck waiting for the 1% to complete content that we will never see because it was designed to be another world's first race. That's all it is, just like any raid, it's designed to be another race. Content shouldn't be locked in such a way that the majority would never be able to play it and whatever the puzzle was shouldn't have been made in such a way that nobody has a clue what the hell we're supposed to do. I'd applaud by give for doing something different too, but once again it feels like they put little to no thought into how it affects the majority of the community. The vast majority of us dislike this path as none of us stand a chance at figuring it out, how could we? Most of us just watched videos for the symbol shooting in the volundr forge and thought that was just for a few emblems and even then, I've got no idea how they figured out the order to shoot in. I've googled and nobody ever mentioned the symbols, only the ciphers used to figure out the message on the board at the back of the forge.
-
I'm a casual, and I STILL think this has been a shit-show. I just saw a stream on YouTube shut down, 16 HOURS after the content dropped, because they still can't work it out. That right there is a serious, serious problem.
-
Different people see things differently. That being said, idk how anyone can defend this when the vast majority are so against it. This is a classic, "you're all wrong even though there's more of you" situation. Not sure how so many can be wrong and whining about something when we all paid for this...
-
Absolutely. From what I see, the defenders are in a severe minority though.
-
Naturally. It's funny that they think so many are wrong despite being the minority... Sure, we're all whining for no reason... Except that more content is locked behind a time gate of sorts again
-
Not even a time-gate this time, but a stupid puzzle gate even their so-called 'best and brightest' have failed at.
-
I said a time gate of sorts. The key to the time gate is someone else doing the puzzle. People keep saying that it wasn't designed and aimed at these streamers and that any average.olayer could figure it out but with what? What clues do we have? I don't even know how the -blam!- they figured out what symbols to shoot and in what order in the volundr forge cause whenever I google, all I find is posts about the message on the board. Was that supposed to prepare us for another puzzle? Cause the board never mentioned anything, it said the forge would open after the dawning, not the labs would open and have the final forge locked away.
-
Of course, sorry. I wasn't reading it properly. But yes, I totally agree. And then there's the fact that half of these clues are in really obscure, real-world things - King Charlemagne's sword? Who the hell even knows about that shit? All these people who ranted, saying "oh but you can play it, just get a fireteam and do it yourself." Right. Because multiple streamers with thousands of viewers can't do it, but me and my two random friends can, when we all work and have kids. Sure. Such a stupid event.
