At what point did I say I TOOK the day off? I wasn't scheduled to work today, hence, day off. I was fortunate, or rather unfortunate now, to have a free day today.

Learn to read. "waste of my day off" is not the same as "taking a day off". Not everyone gets Saturday & Sunday off.
