That's why I'm not looking for a damage boost, just something for the recoil and low mag sizes.

They (minus MIDA) do need a mag size buff. Seriously, if I want good stability on a colovances or last extremity I need to hope for getting hand laid, because braced frame makes the mag size nearly unusable. Maybe a 2-4 shot mag increase across the board for high impacts and super low impacts? The stability isn't really an issue on scouts since it's mostly vertical. Easy to control.

That's my thinking behind it. MIDA doesn't need a mag buff, but it DOES need to go into the archetype it belongs in.

If MIDA is brought into it's archetype, very few people would use it. It's basically just an NL shadow with lightweight and third eye then. However, saying that it should be brought into its archetype wouldn't really work as it doesn't really have an archetype. It has a slower RoF than the NL shadow type, but more a smidge more impact. It also has less impact than the Hung Jury type, with a slightly higher RoF. It also has nearly identical range to shadow, giving it slightly worse drop off. Just for reference: NL Shadow 701X: Impact: 37 RoF: 52 MIDA: Impact: 38 RoF: 42 Hung Jury: Impact: 48 RoF: 37

With the "fires on a hair trigger" it would fire faster than any other scout in the game, while still hitting as hard as it does.

Edited by DehCanadianJedi: 8/29/2016 7:06:01 AMHowever, that's all that makes it competitive. Without that it would be a slower firing NL Shadow. No-one would use it. Who would use a 5 shot, slightly faster hung jury?
It has a closer base RoF to hung jury than NL shadow.
I actually meant to include that in the last post, but my house blew a fuse so I had to redo the entire post in the matter of 2 minutes. Lost the majority of the argument I had there.
Look, if we didn't have all these streamers and youtubers going on about "how beastly" the MIDA was in y1 (Lets be real here, they almost ONLY used TLW and thorn during y1) when they heard that it was being brought forward, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Only when it became mainstream did people complain about it. Even bungie said they were only nerfing it because "It was creating frustrating fights" (Paraphrased, but the gist of why they did it.). Going to go all hipster now, but I honestly used MIDA a ton in y1. Far more than my thorn and TLW kills combined. I could even prove it to you if Destiny tracker still showed individual gun stats.
Edit: I love to discuss this sort of thing, but may we continue this later in the day? It is incredibly late where I live and I have to work in the morning. I hope you understand.

Remember the High Road Soldier? To lazy to look it up, but it was in between the B-line Trauma and the VoC archetypes. Best Scout ever IMO ;-)

I had that thing for the longest time. I would still have my full auto/max stability one if I didn't dismantle it during the Pulse meta.
