Buff primary weapons

It's time to buff primary weapons. They need to be the best weapons in the game, at this point in the game primaries have been nerfed so many times that you'll be better off running around with a shotgun all game. Hand canons and auto rifles don't have enough range to challenge any snipers. Weapons (minus hand canons) can't kill fast enough to counter shotgunners (especially in a meta where thunder strike/juggernaut/force barrier are very common). In the next patch some things need to be done about primaries. NO MORE NERFS. We are done with those. [b][u]-give hand canons back the accuracy they had before 2.0 -give pulse rifles back their damage they had before 2.0 -give auto rifles back their damage they had in vanilla -scouts may stay the same, they were always inferior to hand hand canons except at long distance. [/u][/b] Bump if you agree. Edit: here is what I predict will be nerfed because we all know the word "buff" is not in bungie's dictionary. -Grasp of Malik archetype damage nerfed to 19 headshot, less range -Medium impact hand canons bloom mechanic intensified, they're being used too much -increased control will not provide Titans with significant lateral movement speed anymore, Titans were never meant to be so fast, it's not how we want you to play the game -blink strike lunge distance nerfed, we find blade dancer had increased usage since the last patch -the hawksaw archetype of pulse rifles will be removed, all weapons in this archetype will be transformed into the slightly slower firing archetype (nirwens). We thought it wasn't fair that nirwens took the same amount of shots to kill as the hawksaw, but shot slower. ........ Add to the list of things Bungie will nerf

    Bungie will nerf [u]Subclasses[/u] •Striker Titans -Lightning Grenades will do 97 damage instead of 122 •Voidwalkers -Axion Bolt now has a massive damage drop off the longer it has to travel •Bladedancers -Quickdraw will be neutered [u]Weapons[/u] •Either the GoM Archetype will take 4 crit burst to kill •Hawksaw and similar pulse rifles will be moved to The Nirwens Mercy Archetype •Mida Multitool and other similar scout rifles will be moved to the NL Shadow Archetype.

    • personally, i feel primaries are good where they are, TtK wise. secondaries need to be nerfed so they aren't the go to primary. the TtK needs to be raised in this game. with everything but primaries being a one hit kill, there are no good battles anymore. aside from current primary vs. primary. i love a good gun fight. this can't happen with the TtK so low currently. right now, when i am in a gun fight with someone, and they start to loose, they simply switch to a sniper and one shot me. no skill involved. where is the fun in that. sure your precious k/d isn't effected but its just not fun in the long run.

      • Remember when Universal Remote was trash in year one? Probably the same weapon it was, but primaries were so strong you never used it. Now people complain that Universal Remote is OP. Oh how far primary weapons have fallen.

        • i had this same thought last night. You cannot kill a good player with a primary because they will always hide if you have the advantage. That is why universal remote is everywhere. It takes a great play for a sniper to stop a titan running at them... even if they are not using jug shield. This is the camp in spawn meta because ttk calls for it. Shotgunners need to push hard so snipers cant get lanes... then snipers sit back in spawn because they cant push at shotgunners.... then everyone pulls out universal.... This would change if pulse rifles 2-3 pulsed and all other ttk was higher. People would have to disengage faster when their sniper is challenged and people wouldnt be able to run across the map with a jug shield. It would force people to win using positioning.

          • The need to revert Doctrine autos, give Mida back high caliber rounds, remove bloom and give all legendary hand cannons +5 range. Increase Low Rof autos so it is 7 shot headshot, 30 damage, 8 shot body shot, 26 damage. Increase Medium Rof autos to 9 shot head shot, 25 damage and 10 shot body shot, 21 damage. As I said, make high Rof autos back to before the nerf. Pulse rifles need their damage reverted to before the buff, and give medium and low rof pulses either a damage buff or range and stability buff. Reduce Grasp range a bit though (by 5 or so, not much, just so that it can't 3 burst from far away). Low and Mid rof scouts need an increase to mag size and slight buff to stability on some of them. Hand cannons, as I said +5 range on legendaries. Remove bloom on bullets and fix ghost bullets/target acquisition. Low rof Hand Cannons need a big range buff, around 10-20 range increase and 5-10 stability, with an increased reload speed too. They kill really slow, so they need to be very consistent from far away as well. And a universal ammo increase for all primaries, but hand cannons in particular. Exotics: All exotics are effected by these changes, unless it specifically states to be legendaries only. Hawkmoon should be un-nerfed, Mida should get high caliber rounds back. Hard Light needs to have it's recoil fixed, it just kicks no matter what. Red death needs to become a low rof archetype and should be able to two-burst. Have spinning up on suros activate faster. And feedback is appreciated :)

                • Remove heavy completely from PvP. Make special super scarce and it disappears entirely upon death. Also, completely remove snipers in D2. PvP saved.

"-increased control will not provide Titans with significant lateral movement speed anymore, Titans were never meant to be so fast," First of all this opinion of yours is baseless and has very little to do with the rest of your initial post, Bungie has never had an issue with the Titans mobility. If anything it sounds like your just another butthurt non Titan main that only has .032 percent playtime on there Titan which naturally makes you an expert on them of coarse. "it's not how we want you to play the game" Second, No... no it's not. It's just you. Besides that I personally wouldn't mind Primarys getting silly amounts of Buffs. Could be fun.

                      • Ho use primary in this game??hahahahha The primary guns for 5-6 months are crap very slow ttk but this is the first post about this problem The pvp is only shotguns and snipers. 1.Camp (with sniper or shotgun) 2.get you super up 3.get 2-3 kills 4.find some special 5.camp and repeat

                      • Kind of sorta agree. Hand cannons in terms of range are fine now. And the idea of bloom to force to time your shots sounds awesome, but it needs to be toned way down as it's just too punishing as it currently stands. In addition they need to have that ridiculous reserve ammo nerf undone. Pulse Rifles are fine in terms of range, but the higher impact messenger archetype needs to be returned to it's former 2 shot glory. Autos are in the same position in as pulse rifles. They need their higher impact shadow price types brought up to at least the same time to kill as a doctrine. Scouts are fine as is.

                        • People saying that they should nerf the special ammo... Bros shut up already and go play pve or something. People playing mainly with the primary(using the shotgun/sniper to defend themselves) are the ones finding problems when they have no ammo in pvp, because the shotgun warrior or the camper ALWAYS have special ammo. If you're lowering the number of special, you are affecting the "normal" players.

                          • The problem with buffing primaries is that their time to kill would be so frustratingly low that you have little to no chance of winning any gun fight if you were shot first or didn't react instantaneously. I think there is pretty good balance currently overall where you're penalized for missing shots in a 1v1 but not simply because you were a split second late reacting or getting bullets on target.

                              • It's amazing to see people keep asking for weapon rebalancing after all that came from previous attempts. Like we're going to get an update that makes everyone's favorite PvP weapons perfect and magical. Instead we're just going to get a new edition of Bungie dictating to PvP players what their new favorite weapons are going to be.

                                • Certain archetypes need buffs. But primaries as a whole do not. Scouts safely challenge snipers. Bullet hose AR's and high impact hand cannons counter shotguns. Also side arms are a GREAT counter to shotguns. Hell a properly rolled fusion rifle is as well. Some pulses can challenge snipers as well.
