They should have been left alone
-
Is the difference even noticeable?
-
If the difference isn't noticeable then why nerd in the first place? It's extremely noticeable
-
Apparently it was possible to ohk with a burning throwing knife headshot. I've never seen it, but if it was possible, the nerf is understandable. I'm sure you can notice the numbers are different, but I doubt there's a huge difference between doing 158 damage & 142 in any playstyle.
-
16 damage is a huge difference. It can make or break a fight. Not to mention once that knife leaves your hand, it's gone. Why should a headshot with a knife that you have to aim do barely more than an ability melee from any other class? That's just bad design. If anything throwing knife should have remained untouched or buffed
-
Well with burn it still does much more damage. & it has more range than most of the other melees.
-
Well yeah, it's a throwing knife. It requires aiming and enemy movement prediction. Simply slapping someone in melee range takes neither.
-
*nerf
-
But now it can't ohk if you have great aim, with or without dot
-
I never ohk with an incendiary knife before, so it's no different than before.
-
There are 2 possibilities there 1. They are running high armor stats 2. You suck It may be a mix of both who knows
-
There's also the 3rd possibility that it just doesn't happen often, if at all. Someone made a thread after the update asking if anyone ever got a ohk with an incendiary blade, & I didn't see a single person claim to do it.
-
I've done it and people have done it to me to a couple of times. I always valued agility more than armor
-
& you're sure they threw the knife without shooting a single bullet before or after the knife damage + burn was done?
-
Yeah , used it like a reflex when they saw me in front of them. Lucky shots but still
