A Striker's view on Throwing Knives.
I know what you're thinking that my opinion is. "Throwing Knives 2 OP needed n3rfing".
No. No, no, no , no , no and no.
Seriously, why Bungie? What was the need. I can even list some reasons why you've just made a massive c0ck-up.
1. Throwing Knives rewarded a skillful aim.
2. They have a rather long cool down.
3. They rarely OHKD as the most ran the precision perk.
4. They were the Gunslingers only counter to other classes longer range melees.
5. It felt rewarding to land a clutch throwing knife.
If these aren't the best reasons I apologise. I'm sure you can list some better ones below.
I just can't understand the logical side of the persons brain who decided that throwing knives were unbalanced? If you had to you could have just removed the incendiary knife...
Seriously, now I'm worried for shoulder charge, despite the range of the Stormcaller melee.
For proof that the Stormcaller melee is bad just watch Nkuch's latest video where he melees someone on Black Shield from past the OHK range of a Party Crasher.
Just know this hunters, we feel you.

Yeah. It was weird that they nerfed those and tripmines when nobody was complaining about them. But I guess they saw data that said Gunslinger was over-performing and needed to nerf something. Gunslinger is known for having a great super but meh equipment. So they left the super and nerfed the equipment a bit.

30 RepliesShoulder charge needs a nerf. Aside from supers and stick grenades, ohko does not belong. Also, Defender No Back Up Plans needs a nerf as well. The overshield is too OP allowing for too many multi-kills armor with a too low of a cooldown. They are both frustrating 😡

You don't get to feel like your doing good because you think it's unfair for the weaker ones. The point of this post is to stroke your own ego. You don't care about this since you know if it's nerfed/buffed ut will never be as powerful as you. So you thought you'd make a nice little post highlighting the Bungie -blam!- ups and how your standing with us. Meanwhile you think you just made his day. showing him that "where not monsters" but you are. Your the worst because your a hypocritical egotistical asshole who can only live off of others admiration. and if he doesn't have it then he knows he's not in control and that's what you really want, power. When you realize you loose it, you either, ignore the ones you lost, or try to destroy them. I hate you.

In my opinion when you threw them without shooting they had no aim assist but if you shot at your target more it gains aim assist

I can rack up about 6 kills with throwing knife headshots in one game. So I can see that nerf. I don't understand why it was nerfed so tough. Edit: When I say it was nerfed so tough, IT BARELY DOES NORMAL MELEE DAMAGE ANY MORE.

2 RepliesWhen i first got my hunter into pvp with some decent guns, i was absolutly dominating no matter what the situation was . Not saying they needed the nerf but they were not hard to use at all

I main a Hunter and see all kinds of nerf this, nerf that regarding Hunters... Yeah some things are pretty OP, but the Knives? That's the one that lost many to the confusion of why? Tripmines were great but also a beacon of look at me, cool they don't stick but damage reduction? Not both. If I'm dumb enough to walk through one, yeah my ass deserves to be blown to Phobos.

2 RepliesThe only people who could be one shot with an Incendiary throwing knife where the ones who run the lowest armour build. This was literally next to 0 people. The thing I don't understand with Bungie trying to stop OHK with an Incendiary knife wasn't by nerfing the damage caused by the Incendiary knife, it was by reducing the base damage of knives over all.

I loved running in for a shoulder charge and getting hit with a throwing knife and killed all I can say is good game and laugh because it was fun. The throwing knife was a good counter to most range melees didn't need nerfed but so kid probably got salty about it and ask and they needed it
