Personally, as a person who has a family member who was diagnosed with Autism, I take a lot of offense when someone says, "stop being autistic", or using Autism in a derogatory manner. Typically, I notice those people who do that are either between the ages of 10-15. I was one of those jackasses back when I was 15. A LOT of users on this site fit around that age group, and I notice that this site has a lot of users who use negative connotations towards anyone who has a mental or physical disability, and then they backtrack and say that the people who are offended by that are being too sensitive. This is the only site I frequent that has kids who are so desensitized that blatant disrespect towards people with mental disabilities and physical disabilities is quite commonplace. Not even the League of Legends forums are this bad, and there is a decent amount of people on those forums who are jackasses. It adds even more salt to the wound when they say to grow a pair when they know that they're intentionally being jackasses.

  • Yet, someone like that would probably be the first to suddenly become aggressively defensive or have an overwhelming sense of rage if someone they disliked or didn't know walked up and disrespected them to their face. So, they put up a childish, egotistical front on the internet. They know damn well that they are being disrespectful. It's considered kewl, and makes them feel special to act as if it shouldn't matter. People typically don't have the courage to admit guilt or any wrongful act.
