I'd be fine if self-res was disallowed, as long as Shadowshot, Golden Gun, Arc Blade, Nova Bomb, Stormtrance, Ward of Dawn, Hammer of Sol and Fist of Havoc were all disallowed too.

Edited by Wicked: 3/5/2016 12:57:43 AMTell me though, do any of the other perks on a super allow you to revive yourself in a more powerful state when the opposing team is weak and low on ammo? In a very competitive game type? In Trials, if you're dead, you're dead. You shouldn't get a second chance if you or your team fuçks up.
-
Edited by Hawpy: 3/5/2016 1:03:20 AMIf you want to make that case, why should other Subclasses be able to give their team a free round win? Golden Gun is 3 shots, easily turned into 3 kills and a win. You can't do anything against a half-decent Gunslinger in Golden Gun, so would you still not deserve a second chance if that killed you? Even at that, self-res isn't massively difficult to counter. Every other Super barring Ward of Dawn has at least very good chance of beating it 1 on 1 (in any other engagement, your argument is invalid) if not being a guaranteed kill and revive-sniping accounts for a good chunk of the kills in ToO.
-
Edited by Wicked: 3/5/2016 1:22:54 PMOther subclasses do not give their teams a win, with the exception of Stormcaller maybe because that shit is ridiculous. Even a very good Gunslinger can still miss and has no armor or protection of any kind. FoH misses all the time. Nova Bomb is difficult to use and can miss. Blink and Titan Skate can counter Arc Blade. HoS is easy to evade after the nerf. Nightstalker can miss and you can still shoot and team shot while tethered. So tell me, if I kill you and your team with Golden Gun and I've taken damage during the engagement, what's to stop you from reviving yourself and just casually tossing a Firebolt grenade my way? Or spamming Firebolts at whoever is left on my team while we're weak and practically unarmed? When you're dead, you're dead unless your teammate revives you (which is crap anyway in a competitive game mode). If you want to use Radiance while you're alive go for it. But you don't get a free life after you fuçk up. And people like you who defend Fireborn bat like that's use entire super. It's not. Stop using self rez as a crutch.
-
Edited by Hawpy: 3/5/2016 7:16:29 PMGood job, you pointed out flaws with other Supers and deliberately neglected to talk about Radiance's flaws. No one else gets a free second life, but you say that as if Fireborn grants you abilities of other Supers. We don't have insta-kill bullets with near infinite range, we don't have tracking proximity detonation hammers, we can't deal massive damage to a target and seal off an area. In a Super vs Super scenario, Radiance is among the weakest. If you're losing to Radiance when you don't have your Super, you're an idiot for complaining. Then again, you are an idiot for saying the other Supers don't win rounds. Ward of Dawn gives you a huge advantage for capturing points or guaranteeing heavy ammo, Golden Gun and Stormtrance can effortlessly wipe teams, FoH and Nova Bomb can deny heavy ammo and seal a win in doing so. You say that Nightstalker can miss and then be killed. Newsflash! So can every other Super!

You're special. I'm not going to argue with you. You're absolutely right about everything you said.
-
You took the words right out of my mouth
-
Radiant skin and the other one would be the only 2 classes to choose ....
-
Fine. What if the strongest perk on every other Super was disallowed? They wouldn't be nearly as greatly affected. Take Vortex from Nova Bomb and you still have Shatter, take Black Hole from Shadowshot and you still have Quiver. Take Fireborn from Radiance? Radiant Skin isn't all that great for Trials and Song of Flame is worthless for PvP.
-
Radiant skin can tank 3 blade dancers
-
Edited by Hawpy: 3/5/2016 12:07:22 AMYou might be able to survive that much damage, but to counterbalance that, you certainly can't deal as much damage as other Supers either. If you had Golden Gun active with Radiant Skin, sure, it would be broken AF, but here's the thing - you don't.
-
Well I have killed 3 blade dancers in trials plenty of time with radiant skin
-
Killing players in Arc Blade isn't as great a feat as it used to be. Try against 3 players in Hammer of Sol or Stormtrance and you will lose 100% of the time unless they are utterly brain-dead.
-
Edited by Lil_The_Myth: 3/5/2016 12:14:23 AMStormtrance is weaker then blade dancer I don't need a super to kill them and I could grenade the Titans because they are too slow while throwing hammers. And take 3-4 hammers instead of just 2 Haven't done the hammers though
-
Edited by Hawpy: 3/5/2016 12:18:59 AMYou need Radiant Skin to be able to survive a direct hit from 1 hammer. In terms of damage-dealing and killing power, Stormtrance is outright better than Arc Blade. Greater range, no glitchy hit detection, longer duration, excellent mobility and negating the need for aiming more precisely "general direction of the enemy". Doesn't mean that I haven't killed players in both of them while outside of my Super, doesn't necessarily mean the Supers are bad either.
-
Edited by Lil_The_Myth: 3/5/2016 12:20:21 AMYou haven't been playing destiny lately have you ? And also I kill storm callers without taking damage and I Melee them ....
-
I haven't played for a week. Somehow, I doubt that the vast majority of players forgot how to use Supers in that time, nor do I see how that is relevant whatsoever.
-
Do you not know hammer don't kill 90% of the time... I still survive them on my Hunter
-
Hence, I used the word "direct"
-
They have proximity literally impossible
-
Not how proximity detonation works, both rockets and hammers have an impact component that will be dealt if there is a direct hit, as proximity detonation won't cause you to lose damage.

Edited by Lil_The_Myth: 3/4/2016 11:44:21 PMThose arnt the perks that make them good. those are what noobs use ....

English?

You can't read it ? Go learn English then

Now that you've edited it I can. :)
Those aren't the perks that make them good. those are what noobs use ....
All the perks he named are the best perks out of each of those supers. Vortex allows area denial on an area after throwing the Nova Bomb. Blackhole is far superior to Quiver and Bloodbound because of it's range to grab people.

Again for noobs ...
