While I agree to an extent, you're putting all the shit on smokers.
Granted I have had a lot of these issues I also get a lot of bullshit like "Oh my wife is home, I have to go talk to her about her day: back in 10."
WHAT?!
I'm married and she TOTALLY gets what a raid is and how crucial it is to get it done quick.
Other things like eating dinner and putting the kids to bed or making food for their kids. I get you have responsibilities, so do I. But before getting involved in what could be a several hour evolution you should make sure everything is situated. If something like that is hindering you, maybe today isn't your day to raid.

Haha! What a load off bull. I'm married and if I want to say hi to my wife I will. I don't take 10 mins more like a split second tbh. But the other bit about kids etc... wow.. we can't predict the future, telling someone get all there shit done before a raid?? What happens if the raid runs over what yous expected and have to get the Lil kid some food/put to bed?. Moral of the story is if you're waiting get up stretch you're legs move yah fat arse. Get a drink, snack? It ain't the end off the world.

Yo.. I don't care how crucial the raid is... Getting mad at a husband greeting his wife is a bit shallow homie. What everyone in this forum is forgetting is that it's a video game. If you.'re playing with friends you should be able to have fun, regardless of what activity you're doing. Have a nice day

My wife comes home and sits next to me and I mute my mic while we talk about our days, I don't straight up ignore her. I unmute and communicate when necessary. I'm sorry but half the time you aren't raiding with friends, you are raiding with randoms and want to get it done. So you telling me to sit here and wait while you handle some personal business is kind of annoying. "Greeting" someone is one thing, but leaving for 10 to 15 minutes to do something you could easily do when the raid is done is inconsiderate to everyone else.

I personally am almost always raiding with mostly clan members/friends, so I guess the tone is different. I'd rather not play with randoms, and if I do, I value my lady way way more than their cooperation. After all, I don't really play very "seriously" anymore, almost anything I do in destiny is to help someone else.
-
See, if that were the case I would be ok with it. Unfortunately, though, I don't have many friends that play anymore and I am not in a clan, so I have one or two people that I usually play with and the rest are randoms. Sometimes it's a nice, fun, relaxing environment. Mostly though it's just some guys that want to knock it out as soon as possible.

Well, a bit of a self-plug here, but if you want a clan we'd love to have you. We do things together on a daily basis, we're laid back and friendly. We're on PS4 if you're curious. The clan is young but building up gradually

Ahhhh you had me up until "PS4". I'm on xbox. I find myself moving away from the game anyway. This is the first week I haven't really been excited to raid and it almost feels like a chore now since I have 3 characters, one 319 and two 318's. I just don't even want to go through it over and over again for, what, two light tops? It's getting mundane to me, which is sad, I used to LOVE it.

Yeah, I've been getting my thrills from Bloodborne lately. Trying to build a new character in my off-time
