I couldn't disagree more - Connection first, then Skill - otherwise a lot of us sucky players would just quick because we would always lose - which is no fun.

What you said is true, but people are going to dismiss it/say it's not so, because whether they admit it or not, they need those sucky players to make themselves look/feel good. SBMM has hurt a lot of egos and shown some of them aren't as good as they thought they were.

Honestly you really wouldn't. If you look at Black Ops which is all about the connection you can still play that even if you suck. Being able to play a stable game also would let you improve. This unstable weird latency shit makes gameplay virtually impossible. I would like to see destiny 100% based on bandwidth and ping only. Sure you might get blown up some matches but you may blow up someone else in the next

  • Connection first, then skill is a good way to do it. It is certainly better than what we have now, but I just cannot sympathise with you 'sucky players'. Back when I was a greenhorn, I got my ass kicked almost 24/7 by more skilled players. I just learned to get better at the game. I learned which weapons were good and I saw how the more skilled players played and I learned from them. To me, matching players into skill tiers is just a way of coddling the weaker players. Unless they play stronger opponents, they won't get better. IMHO matching everyone with everyone else based on connection is the right way to do it. Skill brackets should be reserved for ranked playlists and sweats. Guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.
