I have, there are accounts from former Bungie employees on the matter. Sadly however, former employees do not always tell the whole truth, and regardless of what was on the story boards in the beginning that is no way what was promised with the game sale. Books, movies and games are often changed right up until release. It is a normal cycle.
You purchased what was released and until someone came along and told you it was supposed to be different you were fine with your purchase.
Did you spend hours of time playing... Most likely yes. Then why are you so dissatisfied after listening to speculation and conjecture.
Grow up, Bungie had every right to sell the game anyway they saw fit, and you have every right to purchase or not purchase their game. No one is entitled to "free" stuff. It is called business and like it or not it is how the "real" world works

Edited by itsshmittyitty: 1/21/2016 8:49:32 PMI am a 40 year old man with a wife, kids and a business. I don't need a lecture on how the real world works, I live it everyday. I've played and will continue to play this game, but don't think for a second that there was transparency to what we were getting. Remember that little quote? You see that mountain over there? You can go there. Well no, no we couldn't go there. As to your point of former employees, there is their side, Bungie's side, and the truth. I know how it works and I'm happy with the value I received. I also know there will be things held back for future dlc, that's how it works these days, cool. But don't explicitly say something if you can't deliver. It may be true for some, but I didn't need anyone to come along and tell me there was something missing/cut/not delivered.

Even if you could go to that mountain in the distance, there would always be another mountain. This is not a real world, there has to be an edge, if you will, the map has to end somewhere. They have room on each planet to expand the game, the more content the give us the faster we devour it and demand more. Destiny and its community are like a voracious monster gobbling everything in its path. I too am chomping at the bit for more, and my husband and I took it slow with this Dlc trying to make it last. Unlike some of our friends who ran through it like a small child in a candy store. As sad as it sounds there is nothing they can do to make it right for everyone, someone will always be mad or unhappy.

I'm not mad or unhappy, I've played this game more than any other besides halo 2 or 3 in 30+ years of gaming. I'm more than satisfied but I understand some people's frustration. I also understand maximizing profits. As a whole, you are never going to make everyone happy, but with a little more transparency, you'll piss a lot fewer off in the long run.

If they say anything, and then it changes the wheels come off the train so to speak and the tidal wave of "Bungie lied to us" ensues. I personally do not blame them for a lack of transparency!

There is a clear difference between being vague/speaking in broader terms and speaking in an absolute, big difference.
