Its not about putting players down but the game shouldn't be dumbed down in order for it to be good. Pvp should be competitive, that's what keeps it fun (maybe more divisions should be added like a hardcore mode). Pve is for taking it easy.
Honestly pve or casual players shouldn't be asking for nerfs. First of all they are not invested in improving or simply won't put in the time for whatever reason, so what's the point of them asking for nerfs anyways.

Don't agree with all that. As a casual, I have just as much invested as the next. I have less "game" time during the week etc and you have more. Percentage wise we play about the same. Crying for nerfs I don't think anybody should have done. I PvP and PvE, just as I have in other similar games. And they separate the two. This game doesn't. As far as PvE goes, it is part of the game I will play it. Just as I played campaign in the CoD"s. I paid for it, I will play it. For the competitive PvP remark. This game isn't competitive. So it really doesn't matter. Look at my k/d or medal score or whatever bar of credibility you want but fact remains you can only play it for fun. Now, back to the nerfs to just throw out an idea...why are we asking for nerfs to weapons? We should have asked for better maps that would allow you to make any and all weapons relevant and useful. Dumbing the game down? No they shouldn't. Make it harder, make it more violent and slap that M label on it so the ones who cant handle it move on. Fact of the matter is for true gamers you want competition in PvP and a difficult PvE. This game has none of that. So I treat as such, just having fun doing it whatever way I feel.

You act like there is absolutely no competition in this game. There is only 2 outcomes In a pvp game, you either lose or win.. Two teams are competing to win, it's competitive. I can't really dumb this down anymore so I hope you understand me

Watch sports? Everyone on the same playing field with the same rules. Crucible lag, lag switching, etc. Sound like a competion? Go a step further. You see Destiny in any esports tournaments? Can't be too competitive if isn't on the scene.

I mostly agree with the OP I'm just suggesting other ways that the community has ruined the game, as far as I can see. Competitive pvp is awesome! I honestly think buffs are needed in a lot of instances. I'm just saying that some people don't consider other people's perspectives and play styles, and just resort to jeering and name calling if you don't match their idea of a good player. Not all. I've met great people to play destiny with! Just, the bad ones can ruin the experience.
