Do we wanna know the average kd or the kd of a theoretical person that has the total kills, deaths and suicides of every guardian to ever play? I don't know about you but I would rather know the average kd.
Here's another example and these 2 variables don't have a direct impact on each other and it still doesn't work.
Player A goes 150 miles over 3 hours (50mph)
Player B goes 150 miles over 2 hours (75mph)
300 miles over 5 hours = 60 mph
(50mph+75mph)/2 players = 62.5 mph
Or think about sports.. 1 team has to win, 1 team has to lose.
Team A finishes 4 and 2 (2.0 w/l ratio, different than win %)
Team B finishes 3 and 3 (1.0)
Team C finishes 2 and 4 (0.5)
Again total number of wins is 9 and losses is 9. (1.0 win/loss)
But (2 + 1 + .5)/3 = 1.17
They are 2 different things and as far as what we are talking about the later is more relevant. The only time they come out the same is when 0 is involved (2-0 and 0-2 for example) but that's only on a very small scale (1 match with 1 player having 0 deaths and 1 player 0 kills). Globally it wouldn't matter.
