Being 'viewed as good' and being statistically good are 2 very different things.
Also please note I'm not saying this means all 1.0 players and above are great, just that if you've reached 1.0 you are slightly above the global average

And I agreed that's acceptable for Destiny, but not all games.

Being above average should be acceptable in any game, but I see your point. There's people in destiny asking for 1.5kd or higher, I've seen cod players search for 2.5 + In my opinion 1-1.5 is good, 1.5-2 is very good 2+ is great. But this applies only to kd, if it's an objective game mode than kd is less important
