Well, logically one expansion should "expand" the game , not remove some things that you were allowed to play.
Until now all the previous expansions still allowed players to arrive close to level cap, and play nightfall on the strikes that you had.
I think that was more fair , than it is now.

Expansions only expand the game for people who buy them.

I agree 100%, I have nothing against who buy ttk, for sure who pays deserve more content, actually I will also buy it in the next days... My idea is that if they would have allowed all players to run nightfalls, daily/weekly, dragon strike etc...even level until 40, I guess they wouldn't have damaged anyone, since you would have had vanilla players happy to keep doing their stuff, and who bought trk could get new strikes, dreadnought content, new raid, new exotics, new gear.....etc.

Do you really think bungie have the capacity to bring out a dlc the size of ttk without cutting other content? Impossible
-
It's possible. Would take some memory optimization to run it all smoothly, but it's my needed to do all the extra work when 90% of the old stuff won't be played by more than 10% of the customer base. It's basic business ethics, don't do what's not worth the effort.

Yes, how is that impossible?
