There is no dragon strikes. Dragon strikes (the 28+) version that gave you pretty good rewards has been removed. That was a BIG source of worthy end game content. You can't even buy legendary gear to improve your light level without TTK dude, it's straight non sense.
Why penalize people for not buying the same thing twice? Borderlands 2 Tiny Tina DLC was AMAZING and if you didn't want it, they didn't take away content you already own and basically FORCED you to buy it. Destiny is literally holding End Game content hostage for TTK. Come on dude

Borderlands isn't an MMO, Dragon strikes have been replace by legacy

Which are only level 20. And HoW cap is 34. That's a mighty large gap.
-
HoW is also a DLC, it wasn't a part of Vanilla Destiny
-
Doesn't matter when you paid for HoW. Level 20 strikes are cake walks for a level 24 or higher. With no Heroic strikes or nightfalls, you're left with PoE for a challenge. And...well we'll just say there's been better content. The point is, Bungie didn't choose a great activites model for expansions. The issue is only compounded by the fact that there are no static loot activities except for the raids. I'm not sure if the raids will even give you xp when you play them now.
-
You're still not having Vanilla content taken away from you
-
What about all the vendors in the tower? They only sell gear from the current expansion. You have no way of purchasing any of the old gear that you DID pay for. That, by definition, is content removed.
-
You can still acquire that gear from PoE and CE DLC
-
No, you cant. The vendor gear had perks specific to vanilla and TDB and HoW. A version of it may still be in the loot table but the perks are entirely random. Those specific weapon and armor pieces are now lost to RNG.

But they're still there
