Don't take this this wrong way, friend. But:
[b][i]Trials of Osiris:[/i][/b] Specifically advertised as a [i]HUGE[/i] thing for [i]HoW[/i], also being half of its end game. [i]HoW[/i] purchasers that didn't buy [i]TTK[/i] can no longer access it.
[b][i]Vanilla Destiny:[/i][/b] Allowed access to the basic Crucible playlist. [i]Post-TTK[/i] those players cannot access all of those modes.
[b][i]Level 26+ Strikes for Vanilla-HoW[/i][/b]: Condensed to a single [i]level 20 playlist. [/i]
[b][i]Vendor Access:[/i][/b] Factions, though low on interaction, were part of [i]Vanilla Destiny[/i] and were even accessible without the DLC's. They are no longer available to buy from in any capacity.
[b][i]Marks:[/i][/b] Part of the original game, condensed for better functionality, but ultimately removed from people who didn't buy [i]TTK.[/i]
I could go on.

Not exactly. It a feature that takes the content you have paid for and alters it according to the rules of the feature (Light level matters etc etc) It is now featuring new content and gear as well as the new level cap. Which are all apart of TTK. Which you have not paid for.

Even if you could still play Trials, you would get slaughtered anyways cause you can't level past 34. Arguing about it kind of seems pointless.
