Well, I'm sure out of all the people that have completed the challenges for that emblem, many of them would rather wear a different, unique one, knowing that emblems are functionally meaningless beyond being status symbols, and they barely succeed at that. But if you want to judge skill based on what picture someone has next to their name, that's your mistake to make, I suppose.
