I don't think he's saying that. He's saying instead of these guys going to get a job and giving to the community they play games and make money. They could be building houses for poor or something but they play games. It's a first world problem. They are taking the easy way out of going to work. Making videos is hard but it's not work.

That is your opinion, playing video games can be a job in many ways. There are people who make alot of money from YouTube and people who compete in tournaments for large sums of money. It really doesn't matter if you personally think of it as a hobby, they still make tons of money at this job.
