The Gjallarhorn nerf is going to backfire horribly. The people who feel they need Gjallys to get through endgame activities will now be even more stingy with allowing those in that don't have one. No longer can one person with Gjally cover the damage output of another without it, and thus it will become a requirement for everyone in the fireteam. The nerf that they thought would diminish its exclusivity is actually going to promote more elitism.

Everyone please sign this https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/stop-bungie-nerfing-gjallerhorn-destiny found this on the bungie forums funny as hell

Unless the Nerf make alternative weapons more relevant. In which case people won't care if you have one or not.
-
It won't because its only a 20% nerf to wolfpack rounds. That really won't make a difference it will just take 1 extra shot to make up for the damage.
-
That will still have a balancing effect that will allow other players to use different weapons.
-
If you know the damage numbers of the other weapons then you know that is not true.
-
The Nerf closes the gap in damage ratio. This will make more weapons viable. I'm not saying they will be better than the gally, I'm saying it won't be such a detriment for others to not have one. If you can't pull your weight in a fight without gally then you have a bigger problem on your hands.

Let's see if elitist see it that way come the new raid
-
If I have to I'll form a clan that revolves around not having to have a gally. The best way to deal with elitist is to ignore them.
-
Or to exclude those without Jellyhorn even more (which I believe is the point of the OP).
-
That will happen first, but I believe we the players are smart enough to adapt.
