I'd really like to see Bungie address why they made it take so much time and effort to obtain etheric light. And I'm curious about what the numbers are for players who have a lot of etheric light vs players who have none or next to none.
Lots of good thoughts in here despite the childish responses of some.

I would like those answers as well. Sadly, I don't think we'll ever get them. It makes me wonder if there wasn't an overriding thought/misnomer about MMO's and RPG's (Bungie really did only have experience making FPS's until Destiny...) that those games are "focused on the grind" and little else. Because it really seems as if Destiny focuses more on grinding the same small number of activities for hours upon hours rather than invest in Story, Quests/Missions, or explorable land-mass. In fact, "the grind" in Destiny exceedingly dwarfs the grind present in other MMO's (which is severely mitigated in other MMO's by engaging Lore, Story, Questlines, PvP, etc.) to the point that it makes one wonder if the entire Destiny business model wasn't formed to see if they can make us grind for ten years straight.
