you can still use armor to your advantage, and i think we can agree warlocks are covered for that. however exotic weapons lose their special perks that are mainly supposed to be effective against aliens. what you describe is not what i am telling people will cry about weapons till the cows come how but its a simple deactivation of something that can go a long way, example is thorn most people use the peekaboo method when using it to get more damage out of burn or fire and forget kills to combat this action turn burn off forcing players to get their kills from the bullet rather than burn. another example would be hawkmoon most people like the gun because of its 1 and 2 shot potential the statistics of getting a 2 shot is 81% chance of happening thats crazy! people dont tend to notice it either mainly because people just die with ease in front of them eliminating skill altogether. the last word may be one of the harder weapons to use but its still inherently broken the perks make up for what the gun lack in impact range and stability, the weapon itself is not even all that exotic with out its namesake.
