Apologies you are quite right poorly worded. But it's to my mind the tick that produces the advantage regen delay and allowing the shooter to hide away

You are correct. The tick does take far too long for the enemy to finally regain health (assuming he has enough health to survive). I main a thorn in PVP. It postpones regen for far too long. But the DoT is not broken. Slow the fire rate just barely, and speed up the ticks so if it won't kill, the enemy can regen their health. The old mag(6) was large enough seeing as how this is mainly a PVP weapon.
